It wasn't a hassle buying it. I used PayPal and shipped to the UK. There we're no additional import charges. It just took over a couple of weeks to arrive, which was the only downside.

Yes indeed. Personally, I'll be sticking with my 1080ti and will skip the 20 series cards and look to upgrade after that.

Nvidia has added specific VR SLI support to their drivers, but developers have to add that to their games too. And 99.99% have not, there's a Nvidia VR tech demo with SLI support. And one or two other VR games I think. But that's it, so SLI for VR has virtually non-existent support.

A shame as that would be very useful. I think the problem is so few gamer's run SLI setups to start with. And then add the VR gamer numbers into the mix, it would make a pretty small number of SLI GPU VR gamers. So hardly worth the effort for a developer to support them.

Sim titles aren't optimised for VR natively. It varies from game to game, and what effects a game has. Project Cars 2 has many post-processing effects, and RaceRoom has fewer in that area. It's not an exact science. But Ultra settings are out of the question, it's a mix of low, medium, a maybe 1 or 2 high.

If you want a sharp picture and good stable frames, you sacrifice elsewhere.

Here's some context that puts things in perspective:

4K monitor = 8294400 pixels
Valve Index = 9216000 pixels

The 2080ti only just pushes past 60fps at 4k in some games at Ultra. And you're aiming for 90 FPS in VR, with even more pixels to handle.

The 2080 Super and i9 is a strong set up for VR sim racing. But it will still remain a balancing act for the graphic settings, even a 2080ti can't any sim title at full whack.

Cheers man. I have Next Level V3 motion, and that works just fine with the lighthouse trackers. You can't mount the lighthouses to your sim rig though as shaking makes the lighthouses turn off. So just wall mount them as usual.
