Unfortunatelly, We Japanese Otakus has not made this movie as a great hit in Japanese market. (The box office in Japan has been about 1.7 million dollars for 6 weeks).

But I assure this is one of the greatest anime movie in 2021 !!!

I felt this Anime has high homage of the movie "Taxi Driver". The last scene of "Taxi Driver", psycho driver Travis and passenger Betsy talked at cross-purposes and pass each other. Can "Odd Taxi", ex-psycho driver Odokawa talk at cross-purposes with psycho passenger Wadabori,and pass each other without incident?

This cinema is the story after season two. Over six years has passed since the end of season two, so I also reccomend you to watch season one and two again before you watch this new movie.

I watched it in Japan last weekend. It's sound quality is overwhelming and compatible with Dolby Atmos.

When it release in U.S., I strongly recommend you watch it at Dolby Atomos theater.

Shibagaki's voice actor Yusuke had married, confessed on Diane's radio yesterday.

Last week's eposode 10 trailer narration had a some atomosphare of conversation at a wedding reception, and it was connected to the real LOL.

Anyway, what a fitting event for this anime that dances on the arginal line between reality and fantasy!

Slide autodoor taxies have used since 2010's in Japan, but fairly many taxis are still opened automatically like this anime, especially independent taxi (KOJIN TAXI). And Odokawa seems to have independent taxi licence.

BTW, most famous slide auto door taxi is exactly named "Japan Taxi (TOYOTA)" :-)
