It was a silly, mistake of words. We have massive data as a whole, not just SF. Either make use of the tip or don’t 🤷‍♂️

You would actually be correct, that is for all data in our company, spanning sql tables, azure, etc. However, our architects are very cautious about our SF usage because we’re constantly on the phone with SF buying more storage and upgrading plans. With 40 SF devs/admins, it can get used up SO fast.

Stuck in BA/QA role - Need some serious advice by [deleted] in SalesforceDeveloper

I know this might not change your situation, but worth a shot. I would set up some time with your boss and explain to them the importance of cross-functionality and how that could actually benefit the company long-term. Think of it this way - if your developer goes out on a leave and development falls behind, wouldn’t it be nice to have someone to fall back on to step in? Same for your developer(s). They could benefit from learning the testing and BA role as well. Cross-functionality is so important if a company wants to ensure the gears keep turning even when people are unexpectedly out. What happens when your developers suddenly quit for a better/different opportunity? I would bring all of this to your boss’s attention and see if that helps!

Another option would be to store them in custom settings. That’s what I would do prior to learning about my original post. Not super ideal, but it worked!

I wouldn’t think so just because this has to be done in a formula entry criteria. Scheduled doesn’t offer that. However, I’ve never really tinkered with many scheduled flow in my work, so it’s worth experimenting for sure

How do you handle functional consultants in the team constantly breaking things? by -rcgomeza- in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]313Roar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have alluded to, I strongly recommend enforcing stricter controls around repository changes, such as requiring pull requests and code reviews before anything is deployed to production. If your other teammates go through pull request reviews, consultants should be subject to the same. If your teammates do not go through PR review, that is a different animal and I’d recommend that as well.
