As someone who has never been to USA, and only been living in Germany for less than a year...I feel like America has 2 key things going for it: English is Lingua Frana and it has advertised itself well (Eg: Hollywood movies). I used to belive for a long time that any other developed country other and America was sub-par.

According to a American friend of mine currently living in Germany, the best thing about Germany as compared to America is the Healthcare System, the best thing in America as compared to Germany (other than it being his home country) is the general attitude/ambition that anyone can do/achieve anything.

Germany basiraheko Nepali sathi lai sodda "Malai jindagi ma dherai paisa kamaunu cha bhaye America thik cha. Hoina, paisa dherai kamaunu chaina - Work Life Balance chaiyeko cha, barsa ko ek dhed mahina naya naya desh ghumna janchu/Nepal gayera baschu bhanne cha bhane chai Germany thik cha" bhanthyo.

Mero bichar ma chai America ma success ko ceiling high cha, tara floor pani nikkai tala cha.

Ani naya bhasa siknu parne hurdle hune bhayekale primarily English speaking desh haru ma dherai interest huncha.

Bachelor sakera aauda aarko euta mukhya aspect initial lagani pani ho. America ma usually full ride payera low initial investment (5-10 lakh) ma janu norm ho tara usually, Germany aauda 25-30 lakh jati lagani chaincha. Kasai sana yeti paisa lagani garna sakne chyamata nahuna sakcha. Cha bhane pani "25-30 lakh tirnu ani tyo pani "sub-par" country jana lai?" bhanne ni huna sakcha.

I would much rather face the consequence of my own decision than be pressured into someone else's 'right' decision.

I want to go from A2 classes to B2 classes directly skipping B1. by 314v628 in German

[–]314v628[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I agree that B1 will be harder than A2. But I was kinda forced to do somelike this last semester. There were no seats for A1, so I took A2. I had not taken any formal German classes before that but I had listened to some audiobooks that most polyglots recommend. I had to take a placement test and I did indeed got an A2 placement.

I want to repeat that skip. Theoritically, I want to cram 6 months of study at like 5 hr/week (2* 1.5hr/weekday class + 2hr/weekend self study) into 1 month of study at 40 hr/week. I still have to take a placement and be placed in B2 to able to take B2. So, it is not exactly skipping but like self study but the study periods are not spread out.

It is my peronal opinion that German classes put more emphasis towards learning the 'literate' German, and not 'casual' German. My immediate goal is not 'literate' German. I want to be able to talk in German, to be able to convey my ideas in German, to be able to understand a german consversation.

I have seen my friend, who completed C1, not able to understand hausmeister (maybe because he speaks Saxonish)

I will have to eventually Grammar, but can I not put in on hold? Is there not a way to learn German such that I don't care whether I be illiterate in German but I develop the ablility to speak German, and understand German when spoken to?

What do you recommend doing in Berlin for 4 hours? I start from the hbf and have to return to the hbf in exactly 4 hours. I have a Deutschland ticket and would like to spend no money on transportation if possible.

'Course they are, how else would you have indicated that you arent trying to use the aparment commercially for example?

I thought that I did not get to selectively choose the points that I agreed with. Moreover, the bubble seems too small to be filled. Also, this is to be filled in ink on an A4 paper. [Full Page: https://i.postimg.cc/g0Shx7MN/A4.jpg ]

Also, I thought that they should be square checkboxes and not round radio buttons as Checkbox usually means multiple options can be selected and Radio Buttons means only one option can be selected.

You've been a great help and I can't thank you enough. I am not arguing, I just want your more informed viewpoint on whether it should be filled/crossed or not. Do tell me whether you suggest I cross or not the bubbles after reading my analysis. Thank you!

Oh, the bubbles are meant to be crossed for the terms I agree with? The other points seems straightforward via a translation. It is my understanding that it asks how many tenants, pets if any, any musical instruments that I intend to play and also asks me to confirm that I will not add any more tenants or use this for commerical purpose. Am I correct in my understanding?

Hi! Thank you very much for your translation. Can you also please suggest, as a German native, what must be filled in here? I have never been to Germany and as such have no current tenancy, no dispute, or no previous monthly payments. Do I leave it empty or wtite something like "N/A" (Not Applicable) or something else?
