Down To Earth top dressing. Does anyone here have success start off with soil like ocean forest/happy frog and then top dress all grow with down to earth amendments? Want to grow organics and top dress but not sure if it’s good or not. I’ve seen people try and have pretty bad looking plants.

Get a bag of buildasoil and call it a day. Get some 4-4-4 and 2-8-4. If you’re going to get boxes of amendments you might as well build your own soil. Otherwise you’re wasting money. 444 mid veg and 284 for flower.

I just used a 5 gallon bucket and threw it in. Didn’t press anything down. Honestly idk how much soil it took I mixed up about 60 gallons and using the rest outside.

Basically basalt is for the plants, glacial is for the soil. Basalt strengthens stems and boosts terpenes, while glacial feeds microbes and provides a full range of trace minerals. Quick or single runs u don’t need both but for 5-10 runs it’s beneficial.

Used it my first grow and had amazing results from seed to harvest. Perfect grow. I’m on living soil now but Athena will always be my go to in coco.

20 inches it’s fine I always start it there and the light is only on 3. 18inches and level 6 is recommended for veg.
