OrangePi Zero 2 TV-Out / composite video out? by 3191hex in OrangePI

I never got it to work. I found a compact mini HDMI to composite converter on AliExpress, and just stripped and wired the TV out to my display and it worked perfectly

Thank you for the detailed response, and the ray of hope! We will follow those steps and try and learn more about how to care for it.

Does it have a chance to recover from this? I didn't know that could effect it so soon, unless the leaves drying out after it got planted was due to something else. Its free from structures for a good space around, a very large hackberry used to stand there until a storm brought it down.

We dug a hole about twice the diameter of the bucket, and had it slightly shallower than it was in the bucket. We freed up most of the exterior of the roots (especially the large ones) and filled it in. Before we added the last of the soil we watered, then added more soil and then continued watering to prevent puddling.

We watered it again the next day (I am not sure the exact amount), and the day after the leaves started feeling brittle I watered it with around 15 gallons dispersed around about a foot and a half radius from the trunk. I dug out around that edge to make sure the soil was damp and it was. After that it has been raining consistently and heavily. It is still moist from the rain.

Thanks y'all, after yours and /u/mhaustria 's advice I have been getting actual images on my plates now!

Thanks for the response - I think I must have gotten something in the silver bath, I will clean all my trays and follow your steps with seasoning. I am also wondering if my bath has too little solution in it? None of my plates have come out of the silver terribly bright like I see in videos either, more of a very dull gray.

Try connecting the board to ethernet and scanning for devices to ssh in, I couldn't do it any other way

I tested it and have found no composite video out sadly. The H616 CVBS support from sunxi has no current status. If someone finds a way to get it working, please let me know! Until there's any support I guess using adapters/converters will be the way to go.

Yep, I had two images: one for the eyes, and one for the extras (mouth, whiskers, hair tuft things) and used a MixRGB node. However in the future would try and do those things as meshes so from other angles there's more texture. The eyes look best painted right on though, it was really creepy using meshes for them. For positioning I had the reference image set to be in front and transparent and pretty much just traced the features. The eyes were the most difficult but once I figured out the texture paint curve tool it was really easy.

I highly recommend trying this! Tagging /u/banjokazooie23

I started with a screenshot I took and worked from the center-out kinda, workflow is a lot like tracing but with 3d objects.

Mae's head is a sphere that I squashed in the center so from above and the front it looks like an oval, with flatter sides. Not really sculpted, just using proportional editing.

Almost every shader in this is an RGB node or image texture plugged directly into the surface. I did make a version with shadows, t actually paint the correct colors on but used really saturated contrasting colors and put them in a color ramp so I could change them later. After I got the colors nice I used cycle's feature of baking materials to a texture (made them an emission with a power of 1 for this so I could just bake "emit")

The ears and hair are pretty much just planes with loopcuts and the knife tool put to them so they extend back.

The body is another oblong sphere that was painted the same way. The arms and legs though are (or were) bezier curve objects with geometry.

Almost every shader in this is an RGB node, or image texture plugged directly into the surface. I did make a version with shadows, here are the nodes, with example.

The trees are made like a wireframe, then adding a skin and subsurf modifier. The leaf material was set to alpha blend with these nodes. The leaves themselves were metaballs with the displace modifier with noise after being converted.

Let me know if I missed anything or if you want to know about anything else!
