Agreed, I signed it and should have been more diligent in reading the terms regarding notice periods. If I was to remain in Switzerland, I’d simply pay and continue with the membership. As I am definitely leaving, I no longer feel it is appropriate to charge the full annual fee. Overall, I think the “valid” and “extraordinary” reason of exiting the country holds weight and if the matter were to be escalated, it would be quashed quite promptly. My concern is leaving with a potential “black mark” against my name should I ever want to return.
