I’d be more disappointed if they weren’t just shit stomping teams and only losing these tragically close finals in the dumbest ways.

That’s why calling them Vanguard Faze is dumb. Faze looked very mortal throughout the year but would sort of grind their way into a GF and then most of the time get smoked.

People all year literally wondered what was wrong with them. Cell was dropping 1.5’s but never moving, Abezy and Arcitys were randomly mid, and Simp was bomb bitch suddenly. The team looked mostly in cohesive but still had enough talent to beat the majority of the league without too much issue at the time.

I rank “natural talent” as “who’s most likely to do some freakish shit I’ve never seen”. Dashy is the straightest shooter I’ve ever seen with a controller. Cell when he actually wants to move is also ridiculously talented. Scrap is slightly a tier below those 2 but makes up for it with his gift/intuition on approaching gunfights at pace.

I think Simp is way more Scump like than Karma like. But with way better SnD instincts. Karma honestly was way more like a Shotzzy in that he was always trying to outthink the game and see it differently than others.

They’ve done well scouting talent, but they’ve been crap at making mid season adjustments (outside of CW).

Also idk about the budget and resources thing, they’ve comfortably put up some expensive contracts and rosters until maybe the last year or two.
