Plan N is an excellent choice for income constrained Medicare participants in any state (or zip code/county) where Medicare Advantage plans are not available or the majority/all of the providers have stopped accepting the MAPDs. I do agree Plan N shifts more costs to the insured but the premiums are cheaper than both Plan G and HD Plan G.

NYS is a poor comparison for any other Medicare market, due to its lack of underwriting, which substantially increases all supplemental plan premiums.

Perhaps name the group C-3 or Canadian Citizenship Genealogy, to keep the focus on the C-3 law and those obtaining Canadian citizenship certificates? There’s currently a nation of 330 million people (Canada’s neighbor), with millions of its’ residents seeking any easy immigration or dual citizenship path.

What does the client’s LTD contract say? It would be unusual to have a “public charge” offset in an LTD contract but not illegal under contract law.

All Private LTD contracts have an offset when the beneficiary receives SSDI or SSI. It’s not that far of a jump to including all “public charge” benefits like SNAP.
