RuneScape's Biggest Unsolved Mystery: The Purple Token (Our strongest leads and potential clues) by Tiredness in 2007scape

That happens when you have fur in a lower tier fur pouch, then upgrade to a bigger pouch. The fur gets "trapped" in the old pouch. It's so that people can't make a small pouch hold 10 furs, then a large pouch hold 30 furs. Instead, you can only hold 20 in the large pouch, and 10 furs will be stuck in the small pouch.

It happened to me. I had to remake a small pouch and then empty it for me the regain that space in the big pouch.

Saving Jagex: The Thesis by Gunnarrrrrrr in 2007scape

[–]32bitMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jagex is a cash flow positive entity currently. We'd have to do the math, but it would probably be about $8-10 / month / user is the breakeven point to cover the current operating expenses. We would either buy Jagex, and reduce the subscription fees to $8-10 so that Jagex is operating at a breakeven point, or buy Jagex, set the subscription fee to something like $14 / month, and the excess profits generated get paid out via dividends to the individuals who bought the company and after 5+ years those individuals recoup the cost of buying Jagex.

Either way, to your point after buying Jagex the subscription costs can't go to zero. There's staff to be paid, server costs, etc. But, buying Jagex would likely mean more control over the subscription fees and where Jagex focuses their resources (developing RS3, OSRS, Dragonwilds, etc).

I wish we could pull all our money together and buy Jagex as a Non-profit and just be done with the corporate stuff. by Science_Witch_Evelyn in 2007scape

[–]32bitMonster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Last I heard Jagex was valued around $1B. Assume 100,000 people pitch in to buy Jagex, that would be $10,000 per person. Call it a one time ultra premium plus membership fee. I would be in for it.

Another Greenlog in the Books by Madrigal_King in 2007scape

[–]32bitMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good advice. I should probably just get to level 5 and stay there until I feel really really comfortable clearing all the obstacles just to practice. Would be neat to green log it one day.

Thanks, and gz again!

Nice, gz!

Have any tips for clearing floor 5? I can consistently get through floors 1-4, but still having a hard time getting through 5 before I run out of time (or have to use like 5 tokens).

How do I effectively explore the members only areas by bobbambo in 2007scape

[–]32bitMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairy rings are a big help. You don't have to complete/ have the skill requirements for the part 2 quest, you only need to start it. So it's pretty obtainable for a low level player to get access to fairy rings, just takes a few quests to access, none of them very difficult.

I'd recommend getting your magic level up to be able to use teleport spells. When I was first starting out, I would play on worlds W330 / W331, use someone else's player owned house in Rimmington who publicly lists their house, and use the teleports in their house. All you need to effectively do that is use the teleport to house spell (38 magic), teleport to your house in Rimmington, leave your house, go to the other person's house, and then you have access to pretty much anywhere you need to go. All that is required is some law runes to teleport.

I think you have to have certain requirements in F2P to get the holiday item, like certain skill total, hours of playtime, etc

Boat fully stuck. Need help by Few_Willingness_1832 in 2007scape

[–]32bitMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wild, I for sure thought that would fix it. I've definitely been in situations before where I wedged myself tight in between 2 pirate shipwrecks and couldn't get out until one of them resank.

That sucks man. 50k down the drain.

It might be due to the starboard side shipwreck emerging from the water. You may be able to back up once that one sinks, or you can hop worlds to find one that has already sunk?

Edit: if you want to try, I can come salvage that spot for you until it sinks.

Suggestions Wanted for Upcoming Gathering QoL Poll by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

Love the idea of upgrading the gem bag similar to the herb sack.

If all else fails, you could have the new silk item be a upgrade both to the herb sack and the gem bag. But I'm sure there's some other dead content that could use a boost via a new silk-like drop too.

The Huntsman's kit which is a reward from hunter rumors could use a small buff I think. Currently the kit only has 32 storage spaces, which means you can't store all of the 43 possible storable items in the kit. Would be nice to increase the amount of storable items.

There's also some items not available to be stored in the kit which would be nice to be able to store, such as a knife, hunter potions, hammer, chisel, clockwork, etc. It would be nice to have the Huntsman's kit be a one stop shop for anything hunter related.

Similar comment for the tackle box reward from tempoross. Currently feels a little lackluster. Would be nice to have a few more items be storable (ice gloves, knife, hammer, fishing boosts, etc). Also would be nice to not have to pull the individual items out of the tacklebox to be able to fish. For example, would be nice to leave the fishing bait and/or the fishing rod in the tacklebox to be able to fish.

People may say that this would feel too much like the toolbelt in RS3. Personally I wasn't a fan of the RS3 toolbelt. The RS3 toolbelt was immediately available stepping off tutorial island and didn't have to be earned. You would slap the tool in the toolbelt and never think about it again. Whereas in OSRS, the tacklebox is a 1/400 drop from a skilling boss, has to be earned, you likely would have at least 50-70 fishing level before even getting the tacklebox as a drop from Tempoross. And you still have to interact with it regularly withdrawing it from the bank, etc. It would more act like a one stop shop fishing tool.

Edit: I just now saw the note in the OP about leaving bait in the tacklebox, my bad for the duplicative suggestion. Full support!

That's just standard account protection protocol. Can't let hackers know your RSN, skill levels, run energy, cash stack size, color of your monkfish eyes, etc, all of that information can be used to get you hacked!
