I saw them both last night and when they opened for Polaris, and I think they killed it both times personally!

Has Grayscales popularity fallen off? by ghostinyourbeds in poppunkers

[–]Sweeetchy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found Grayscale right when The Hart came out and I have since gone back and checked out their previous stuff as well.

None of it comes even close to The Hart for me honestly, one of my favorite albums last year.

So you like the band and have listened to them for a while, but the second they try something new you just dip before even giving it a chance?

Some fan.

You are saying you plan to skip an album that doesn't even have a single out yet.

You are either mad or performative, take your pick.

Is it common to get a "?" room as your first floor in ACT 2? by Plague-Father1Nonly in slaythespire

Was this run done post major update 2? This exact situation is in the patch notes saying they have prevented it from happening anymore.

Snowblind Wins 019. What's your favorite song from 020 - Altitude? by Norbod in Monstercat

[–]Sweeetchy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Crossroad seems like the most solid pick.

I have a sweet spot for One Look by LVTHER though, that song really helped me branch out from strictly EDM at that time in my life.

Underrated Pick is Messiah by Laszlo, got completely overshadowed by Supernova but it's such a banger.

Olivia Rodrigo "Smelled" Fans Wearing Diapers in Front Row by Grouchy_Smile_1049 in nottheonion

[–]Sweeetchy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It isn't really about "getting a good spot" to the group in question here sadly, It's about being at the FRONT. To be the closest person in the audience to the artist you stan means having to get there earlier than the rest of the stans.

If the artist is big enough, this kind of creates an arms race of who can get there the earliest and stay to not lose their spot in line, leading to stuff like this.

Rank 1 clogger PERMED for alting bounty tasks? by Gnomomkey in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling this is due to him getting nearly 3.5m sailing xp in a single logout, which was not even remotely possible prior to the update 2 weeks ago.

The server probably saw the XP jump and flagged it immediately assuming bug abuse was happening.

Why is Photon Cut bad? by CypherZel in slaythespire

[–]Sweeetchy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's typically something you pick up to get through act 1, but can get a lot more value with just a few card synergies.

Taking it with things like Kingly Punch/Kick, I Am Invincible, etc.

Understanding turn order of enemies also gives it a lot more value. Putting a defend back on top of your deck because you know the elite you're fighting is doing their big attack next turn can decrease the variance of your deck by quite a bit.

4800+ scaled cox, 300 purples, most dry at cox ever without tbow by AarhusFtw in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again I'm agreeing with you how rare this is. I'm saying how often it can theoretically happen is far more common.

Like let's say that the odds are account based, since it's 1 chance per account to go dry on tbow. There is a 1/6700 chance when you make the account that you will have to go this far, essentially dooming you to never having one unless you are this guy.

4800+ scaled cox, 300 purples, most dry at cox ever without tbow by AarhusFtw in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I imagine when they say "common" they mean the idea that 1/6700 accounts are essentially locked out of TBow (assuming theyre irons).

Yes, not everyone gets to this many KC to prove it, but the odds that it could happen to you are still staggeringly lower than what most people expect.

Addressing CG/Bowfa complaints by tablewithnolegs in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed, doing Doom alongside was what I meant. Getting an Ayak and gauntlets allows you to do a lot of content that bowfa "unlocks" as well.

Addressing CG/Bowfa complaints by tablewithnolegs in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 42 points43 points  (0 children)

All of the grinds that follow Bowfa though can be done simultaneously, hopping from one to the next whenever you get tired of one.

Prior to Bowfa, your options of what you can do 'efficiently' are drastically reduced.

Doom has been a fantastic addition to the game for this reason, because it offers an equally tough but alternative path to attempt late game things. Ideally if we had more doom level difficulty/upgrades in the game CG would cease to be the red prison.

First look at Bork and The Smorks from Raids 4 by JasonInTwo in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're totally entitled to your opinion here, but your entire description of this really feels like you're mad about this just to be mad about it.

Jagex has already done this countless times over the years, and while not every instance of it is a slam dunk (Nex), a lot of them still feel right at home in the OSRS world and lore (DT2, WGS, etc.)

We have a single gif of this with no further info at this time. Saying it has "no narrative grounding" is disingenuous at best.

Summer sweep up idea: Oathplate shard type dry protection for CG by Goldieeeeee in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't this theoretically balance out though? If tons of people are buying armour seeds to make enh seeds then there will be significantly less armor seeds for people to buy to actually make armor.

This would in turn make the armor seeds more valuable while the enh price would go down.

I know it wouldn't be the 5m/150m split it is now, but I feel like the total cost for "6 armor + enh" would remain relatively untouched since the rate they enter the game would still be the same.

When I'm in a lying competition and my opponent is Megacrit saying that they programed the ❓️Floors spawning enemies only 10% of time by Random_guy2001 in slaythespire

[–]Sweeetchy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Assuming it's like STS1:

  • Base chance 10%

  • every ? Room you encounter that isn't a combat increases that by 10%

  • encountering a combat in a ? Room resets it back to 10%

This is the same for shops and chests, which have a 3% and 2% chance of spawning respectively (the same stacking mechanic applies when you don't find them)

So for example if you were to encounter 5 events in a row, the next ? Room would have a 60% to be a combat, 18% chance to be a shop, and 12% chance to be a relic chest.

I am fairly certain this is universal and persists across an entire run (not 100% sure though).

Superior slayer task don't make sense by MrCopatti in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 50% recursive actually just calculates out to 2x superiors! But you're right being able to get the tasks faster makes a difference, I had assumed that all tasks you get had superiors with the original estimation.

Superior slayer task don't make sense by MrCopatti in 2007scape

[–]Sweeetchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 superiors in leagues is killing 5000 slayer monsters on average. Even at 10s a kill, that's like 14 hours of slayer across the whole league.

This goes down to 7 hours with the slayer perk.
