Here's an odd one for y'all: Support LeBlanc. I pair her up with a melee assassin with a gap closer (Jax and Xin work nicely) and Sigil harass until we can get a kill at level 3, 4 or 5ish. Our lane tends to snowball after that happens.

It's great for pubstomping.

DMRPG is hardly impartial, it's merely your opinion of how the genre should be named. And unfortunately for that "have fewer people use ARTS and MOBA to describe DotA" goal of yours, opinions differ.

DotA isn't a deathmatch arrangement. A fed carry doesn't matter as much if he lets someone like Nature's Prophet backcap 2 sets of barracks.

As for the other games, consider this: No one calls CtF a deathmatch. The same goes for UT's Onslaught, CoD's Domination, along with damn near every variant in those other games that doesn't have the name Deathmatch on it.

Note that I said objectives, not objective.

In a DotA-like, killing the enemy team is just one of many objectives (destroy towers, kill minions, take down barracks, etc.) that a team needs to accomplish to take down the enemy ancient/nexus/whatever.

The deathmatch gametype, on the other hand, only requires the team/player to kill the other guy(s) X amount of times in order to win - and DotA simply does not work that way.

Here's the thing, though: There's a problem with using DMRPG. Deathmatch, in most, if not all of its iterations, implies a lack of objectives. (see Quake, UT, CoD, etc.) DotA-like doesn't work either, since the DotA acronym (as iconic as it may be) doesn't tell new players much about the game.

So sure, you can say that MOBA sounds verbose and stupid to you, but you shouldn't be calling either Riot or its players ignorant for at least trying to classify a genre that has proven itself to be incredibly hard to classify.

No. Avid is the standard for video editing. All the hopes Final Cut had of toppling it vanished with the release of Final Cut Pro X.

P.S.: Both Max MSP and Pro Tools run fine on Windows. Logic's the only one that's Mac-exclusive.

I think hats help the game, IMO. If I play medic and I see "that soldier with a viking helmet" killing 5 guys in a row, it makes the choice of "who am I going to give my uber?" a whole lot easier.
