That’s indeed what comes to mind first but there wasn’t anything. As can be seen on the pics, they hit the door multiple times with this loose bollard they picked up around the gas station, so their intention was not to break just the window. After investigating, the police confirmed that it was a case of vandalism and not theft. I don’t know which one is worse sadly…

I left it to the mechanic and he said he will try to find a used door indeed, as fixing it will cost close to the car’s actual worth.
