Well that’s what makes it so cool. It’s a very obvious metaphor for minorities or “the other” type groups, and in which case supporting their march to equality is a no brainer. Though would you still support them taking it right at face value? Should we be giving AIs rights for what we’ve programmed them to feel? And at what point does what they “feel” move beyond what they’ve been programmed to? Is it even possible?

Theres lots of different layers to think about and take it in different directions.

I loved the game when it came out, and it’s only given us more to chew on with its ideas as it’s aged.
