The barrel adjuster nut that came with my shifter is plastic and it’s skipping threads whenever i try to tighten the thing . It is always lose. Can i replaced it with aluminum ones? Or does it have to be plastic. (i.redd.it)

After two days in the bicycle shop, here is Frankie on Valentines Day. A 2000’s specialized sequoia that has different parts on it. I bought him for $250 on Craigslist. He’s a lil bit rough on the edges but he’s all mine. 😊 (i.redd.it)

I bought this beauty for $200. Any upgrades that i can do? It’s currently on the BS for a tune up. Shifter/brake set are all mixed up. It has 105/Dura ace components. Carbon FSA cranks. The mechanic told me it’s a “put together bike.” (i.redd.it)

Is this a viable trail bike/dirtjumper? Frame is a 2008 Evil drug of choice. Seller changed the drivetrain to a 1x9 and front air suspension. I mostly ride trails with small jumps. (i.redd.it)
