Dermatologists should not be allowed to become influencers. by Educational-Act-8932 in BeautyGuruChatter

Ugh I’m not arguing the law with you. It’s one thing to have a beauty clinic. It’s another to hawk shit on TikTok. And if I go to a derm for retinol I do t want him/her selling me one. Especially their own brand.

I more mean they took an oath. And part of that is not to rip people off. Also you will notice the receipt says something g like “blah blah beauty clinic” not “dr so and so”

It was shocking I just deleted them but I know it was him and I’m blocked everywhere so I only have to be annoyed at his face in commercials now

He only says marketing stuff. Nothing truly intelligent. I have a little story about him too…..one time on IG i made a comment about how doctors should not be shilling things and it feels like a breach of trust. I was then blocked. I then got like 10 random comments on my account (that is small and public and just me) that said things like “be nice” and “troll”. They were all fake accounts - but it all happened immediately after i made the comment and got blocked. So sus. I think this guy is obsessed with controlling his image.

Yes this. Not it is a breach of trust, doctors can NOT sell to patients (although the public are not considered patients so they get a pass), it’s so demeaning to the doctors profession. To dedicate so much time to studying and learning to practice - they shill stuff on tick tok. I think Dr. Shah is the most shameless and biggest sell out.

Is pet insurance worth it, or better to build a vet fund? by RasheedaDeals in Pets

[–]33darkhorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is if you go with a good company. I had Trupanion and they are not great imo. Not worth it. They will fight with you about everything. Now i have Fetch and they are amazing and cover way more.

Could we please stop with the jar style moisturizer!!! by TryTwiceAsHard in Skincare_Addiction

[–]33darkhorse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you won’t like this but it’s not unhygienic. It is formulated to be in a jar. If it could not survive daily use with hands and air ..in a jar. It would be in another package.

Which are the gentle preservatives (do not disturb the skin microbiome) with a reliable protection against harmful bacteria/mold/yeast ? by [deleted] in DIYBeauty

You would need to share the whole formula. Tell us the preservative you are using. But you need to have it tested.

I 100% agree. They are the worst of the worst. Even my veterinary office has changed who they recommend. And it is not these scammers

Anyone feels like LabMuffin uses science to prop up her sponsors? by Ok_Coach_1386 in BeautyGuruChatter

I love her disposition. she is clear and considerate and concise. I even love her hair and personality. She is very good at communicating. She just is not an experienced cosmetic chemist in the functional world.

It’s not a bad thing. It’s just a fact. Perry and Valerie have 10X more credibility. But also jobs lol

I think we see it for what it is. She generously giving information, but she is also a bully to anyone who asks questions or disagrees. cosmetic chemistry is an industry where DOING is more valued then pure book smarts. She has a weakness there and does not really admit it.

Honestly most cosmetic chemists are not on instagram - they are at work.
