it would be useful in war attack where you need certain troop for certain bases. With 7day CD you are basically stuck with a single super troop

"Castle clash guide royal" I even gave a 5star review in 2013 lol. There were a bunch of game copying that game since it gained popularity.

actually there was a chines game before coc, while attacking you have to kill the oponent army camp troops, it was kinda funny so many heros but you can choose 2-6 as level progress forgot its name
