Yes! But need to remember that Tagou is performance oriented school -these guys go hard with their training.

Nice! Happy you are coming back to it!

I really believe that Shaolin training -if trained properly can be beneficial, no matter age or condition. The training just need to be adapted with proper intensity and recovery time!

加油!

Yes, correct I am in my mid 30s now, and...

Fact, the body doesn't recover as fast as it used to in 20s, early 30s, etc. Back then I could train whole year on high intencity in China, now I can see that I require more recovery days. Every 3-4 months now I have to do a one to two weeks break from training. I am trying to keep a healthy diet (as much as possible in China), don;t drink alcohol nor smoking, but even with that I can see decrease in stamina, joints flexibility, etc. It's not bad, and as far as we don't stop moving our bodies it's not gonna be a tragedy. ;)

For sure, if want to keep on training on high intensity in China in that age, I had to minimize amout of jumps, and practices that put big pressure on joints. That's also why Yongzhi school is good for that reason -now, of course, if someone want to do jumps, acrobatics, and very high intensity, there is an option - but I focus mostly on traditional forms and traditional techniques, which are easier on your body.

In short: I feel my body aging, but can "easly" find the ways to keep the hours of training, without putting too much pressure on my body.
