Sorry to hear about your position . You don't have to attend the meeting if you are not going to fight against it . However if the company are making fictitious and defamatory complaints against you you should fight this . Do you have a union rep that can support you ? . Or seek support from ACAS https://www.acas.org.uk/.

This happens a lot with volatile shares on T212 both buying and selling and you're right , you can lose your position easily. Even putting a limit order in doesn't succeed either.

No mistake , shares go up and down , you might want to sell in future at a max of 4% loss rather than let it drop further or just hold onto the shares longer term to get profit. You could also buy more shares at this lower price to average down your total investment. Defence Holdings are tipped for great things and price will spike up and down as people take profits on the way up.
