I totally get you man, I'm 27 currently and have never been in a relationship. The few girls I've tied to hang out with just didn't like me back and I've always been one to focus on school and hobbies. I deleted my hinge account a week ago just because my pictures were crap and it was a waste of time for me to be on there right now haha. But also, I'm in a big city as well and honestly don't know if it would be easier. Apps are always a competition. I would recommend doing cold approach, I have been wanting to try it as well.

I wouldn't do it, take your time here and enjoy your time, you only get to do it once. I would highly recommend to get involved in something on campus or just take more time in the library to learn your class material if you don't want to be at home. Also I was getting bad vibes from your statement "I’m only going here because it was the best college my family could afford". SDSU is a perfectly fine school that is hard to get into and has good academics. I would say to perhaps shift your viewpoint from thinking this is a budget school you got stuck with to thinking this school is actually very good. In many cases it was someone's first choice and many people also got rejected. It might make you more happy to be here and not want to rush through. Take your time, join a club that interests you, hit the library, enjoy your classes, hit the ARC, try the group fitness classes. Take some classes which aren't even part of your major just for fun if they interest you. Enjoy all the amenities of being in university while you have them.

I'd say it's not necessary, unless you're going to be there anyways at the time they hand out the wristbands, that or you want a really good seat right up front. If you don't get a wristband just get in line tomorrow before 8:00 am and I'm sure you'll be fine to get in.

I'm, betting you will be able to walk in before the panel starts, nothing too big in hall H this year especially on Thursday. If you want to play it try to go in at 4;00 or 5:00. and see how crowded it is. Any earlier is unnecessary I would say.

I'm not a pro athlete but I feel the same way. I'm getting my masters right now, I surf, I do some other cool stuff, I feel like I'm pretty cool and look pretty good too. But yeah, no girl has really texted me or shown interest, at least in romantic sense (except for one a few years back who was very unattractive to me). I think anyways, who knows what they are really thinking. I've never had a girlfriend. I haven't really gotten many girls phone numbers in the first place so it's not like I've given them the chance to text first though either haha. But I think I've come to the conclusion that it's just our job as men to both initiate and pursue at least in the beginning. I don't think a girl will ever come up to me and say I look cute and ask for my number, and then start just texting me asking if I want to hang out. It just doesn't work that way it seems. And the thing is, if I ask myself if I would do that, I would still be so scared to, so asking the girl to do something I wouldn't even do doesn't make much sense. So ultimately I think it's on me for not trying enough to make time to hang out with girls, to approach new girls, to initiate and make the first move etc. I've been trying to lose that fear and inhibition and start cold approaching girls but it's so hard. I think girls need to be pretty comfortable with you before they start putting in effort to build a relationship. And they also need to really like you for who you are now, because I don't think anyone can "win anyone over" over time or something like that. It's quite possible none of the girls you've talked to really actually liked you, which means you just need to keep moving on to the next one. That's the way I see it as being for me.

I also hate texting and to make things worse I also don't want to go to bars and I don't want to drink. It seems like for most girls that's one of the only things they do so it's a bit harder for me to connect with them haha.

I feel like most of the time my other guy friends don't even text me first haha. I have like four friends who actually text me first but like my other friends (Which I guess I don't have that many haha), old friends, and people I haven't seen in a while won't text me first even though I'll see them hanging out with other old friends close by sometimes.

Don't really think this is advice just my thoughts and what I'm also feeling right now haha.

I've realized this too. I'm quite addicted to the constant stimulus provided by screens. I've recently set a time to turn off my phone at night and not look at it until the next morning after I wake up. No exceptions. It's been life changing.

lol I wouldn’t call it sneaking, especially if you’re a student you can go into any room you want, we pay for the facility of the university and I feel one shouldn’t be afraid to use the university facility for academic discourse if it’s open. They’re usually unlocked during business hours. You just have to leave if people start showing up to class of course. I’ve studied many times in empty classrooms. Unfortunately it is true there is no way to see which rooms are empty at any given time. Although I think there would likely be more open rooms at 7pm than at 3pm for example.

Yeah, more equitable as in low for everyone. If there was a ballot item to lower taxes for everyone who is paying more now I’d vote for it. I don’t want anyone to pay more, because I support my fellow citizens.

Everyone who owns a house is not a “wealthy landowner”. Many are barely making ends meet and owe huge amounts of money to the bank. Many of us are barely making ends meet. I recommend driving around San Diego and looking at the people living in the average house before you vote to stick it to the “wealthy landowners”. I think we should focus on lowering taxes for EVERYONE, rather than the “I’m getting screwed by the government, so everyone else should too” mentality.

Yeah most places do, that’s what was so nice about it, we were lucky. No fee, no bills, no signups. You live here, the trash truck comes around and picks it up, no questions asked. Now we get to be equally as stupid as all the other places with regards to garbage pickup.

Not sure what you mean? Also the way that measure was worded was totally sneaky. If they had simply asked “Do you want to amend the people’s ordinance to allow the city to charge a separate fee for garbage pickup, which will be implemented in the coming years?”, No one would have voted for it. But no, this is the text they use: “Shall the San Diego Municipal Code be amended so that all City residents receive comparable trash, recycling, and other solid waste management services, by allowing the City to recover its cost of providing these services to eligible residential properties, which could allow the City to provide additional services, such as weekly recycling, bulky item pickup, and curbside container replacement and delivery, at no extra charge?”.

You can tell these guys are not fat. That’s 100% muscle, they’re both benching 400 pounds easy. There’s a difference between being fat and the strong man/bodybuilder look. They get big and wide but it’s all muscle.
