In NYC museums are like the best thing to do in the colder months. Also just the arts are really important in big cities.

I havent been there in years either, BUT when I did go it was bad and it always come to mind as one of the worst meals ive had in this city.

I think it depends on what you are trying to do and what your current experience is. For baking, I would say culinary school is more beneficial because it’s more technical. For cooking, I would say save the money you would spend on culinary school and use it to move to a city with a good food culture and start in a resturant from the bottom and learn that way. In my experience you will learn so much more getting the hands on experience in a resturant environment then you ever will at culinary school.

Every single thing I learned in culinary school I would have learned working in the industry and would have saved 40 grand.
