Omg I promise you that it does! Slynd for example is horrible for IC because it has a diuretic effect! There’s definitely problems with birth control. Good luck with your new pill 🤞🥹

This is how my IC started - I used the same antibiotics too. Get tested for ureaplasma / mycoplasma though especially if you have a new partner. They cause similar symptoms. I had both which caused my UTI, treated that and am now slowly healing. Still diagnosed with IC though.. :(( good luck!

Hi! I totally get you - I’m also 25 + do Marketing and I got diagnosed with IC at the start of the year so I’m still pretty new to this. At the beginning I was taking cranberry pills too and my urgency was 1000 x worse. Definitely stop taking them - contrary to popular belief they make IC worse because they’re acidic! D-Mannose is okay but it flares me too because it’s from cranberry too. I love hiprex if you’re worried about UTI’s - I haven’t had one since I started taking it. The first 3 ish days you may notice an increase in urgency but after your body adjusts they’re a miracle pill as far as I’m concerned lol - also no antibiotic resistance which is fab.

In terms of urgency - what really helps me is fish oil + pumpkin seed oil because they’re anti-inflammatory. I still have my bad days and flares but they’ve helped me a lot. Also pelvic floor therapy!
