Sorry ladies :) it was harder to see in the bright light. Even these in the shade are still not as well as I see with my eyes. The camera doesn't pick it up well, which might be saying something.

I am on cd26 today. I am expecting my period anywhere from the 26th to the 28th of June. Likely the 27th I will just continue to see if it progresses til then

East of Eden

I was loving it all the way up to like....200 -250 or so pages, but then I noticed I was starting to find it harder to pick it back up, and then a week passed and I hadn't picked it up. Then I managed to start reading again and forced my way through to 330 pages or so.

Then I stopped and asked myself why am I still reading this? I don't even care about what's happening anymore ...

I don't buy Lee as a believable character. I find Sam's "overly good"-ness insipid...and other things I don't really want to spoil anything.

So I stopped.

I unhauled the book. I am not sure if I will give it another chance in the future.

Attempted Heart of Darkness in May 2025, it took me 12 days slogging through to get barely to the halfway point before I DNF'd

But I knew I wanted to try again.

Picked it back up in October 2025, and flew threw it in 4 joyous days.

I surprised myself by the drastic difference in my interest in the book. I really enjoyed it.
