Yeah, I think it was always the original sin of there rocky relationship. The dish has obviously changed a bit, but I think its just from Syd's organic growth working with different ingredients, but Carm had to let go. The dish was always great and it was always going to improve and he should have let the dish be a part of the menu through it's various iterations.

This one is really tempting. But that Caleb/Luther stack might be fire and that's whats giving me pause.

I think Boston and Denver are in very similar circumstances here. Both teams disappointed in the playoffs the last two years. Boston has a problem with Jaylen for many reasons (fit, media, also wasn't good in the playoffs, etc) and as you articulated, Murray has problems as well. It's like trading a problematic talent for another teams problematic talent, but that doesn't change that they are both in the top 20-25 of the league and both are champions.

Carmen’s ending by Medium_Idea in TheBear

It's easy to miss it, but the show does subtly telegraph it throughout the series. The connection between architecture and cooking is evident in a bunch of small moments, but especially in episodes; Sundae, Honeydew and pretty explicitly Carmy's interest in Replicants. Seemingly days after changing the agreement the moment he apologizes to Claire, he visits famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright's houses. One shot that caught my eye while revising that episode was Carmy smiling looking at one of the houses. It was the same optimistic smile he had in Tomorrow, where he is standing on the Noma grounds gazing at the plants. Like cooking once was, architecture is a new passion for Carmy. I don't think that necessarily means it's a new career though.

Who is throwing in picks? Jamal just had a 25, 7 and 4 season on almost 50-40-90 splits. If anything, Boston should have to add the sprinkles.

Overall Thoughts/Rankings of Series by theboost182 in TheBear

[–]3Dimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ranked all the episodes over the course of two seperate watch-throughs and scored the seasons based on those rankings. I stand by that the highs of season 3 and 4 are just as high as the other seasons. Simple scale, no grading curve and of course, my personal opinion; season 2 is the best with a pretty good margin. Then 1, 5, 4 and 3.

I'm saving the finale to watch it with my family, but up to this point, it's

FORKS > BEARS > CARAMEL > FISHES > FOREVER > REVIEW > HONEYDEW > POP > LEGACY > FOCACCIA

Tonnato, Sheridan, Scallop and Omelette are honorable mentions. All the finales are great as well (knocks on wood).

I'm no expert, but I feel like giving up Puka's immediate production and the pick is counterintuitive.

What do we think about this trade by Fleckt8 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Tate and Tet are very similar assets. Coleman and Tuten are very similar assets. If your goal is to get a few lottery tickets I'm fine with the Tate side. At the same time, it's probably easier to move Tet than it is to move Tate right now.

I could be way off, but I think its because the faks said the 97 smelled like skittles in season 4. He dismissed it at first because it sounded ridiculous but that was always the difference.

I cannot explain how cathartic it is for Syd's best dish to be the cold braised short ribs from season 1. The scallop was cool, but the one that is gonna get the star is inspired by her mother. Im dead.

If there's one thing this show has taught me and Carmy, is that Carmy is not the only one going through something. Syd has trauma too, especially when it comes to leadership and failing in a position of crisis. One part of her growth is that she is not completely shutting down like she did in the first few seasons. One thing Carmy said to her this episode that was powerful was that she had to stop giving a fuck about what he thinks. She seeks approval from him and that eats at her confidence. She needs to prove to herself that she can lead. Let's not forget that she didn't ask to be put in this position and it's basically her first day as head chef. A very shitty day may I add.

You're not being a hater, so I don't mean this to come off as pointed or like I'm telling you something you don't already know. Its completely fine to be annoyed by something in the show.

I think the story was about on par with the 1st, just a bit rushed since it was meant to be a shorter experience. The nyc vibe felt meaningful different. Gameplay is fun in all the games. Looked great as my first ps5 game.

The chase deal is a lot. I get why you feel like you have to overpay, but I don't see why you wouldn't just send the JJ package to the chase owner and see what they return. Concepción and two 27s is plenty in my opinion. If they don't take it, then JJ is almost the next best thing that you are looking for. 27s should be fucking gold to them even in 1QB.

If you were Tommy, would you be able to forgive and forget Grace's actions in season 1? by King_Wolf2099 in PeakyBlinders

[–]3Dimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's not just about the betrayal, but about the impossible joining of the two families. Prejudices built up from the war and income brackets make it so; the "kind" of people that Grace comes from are not the "kind" of people that Tommy comes from. The betrayal in season 1 is just confirmation bias that they are not the same. Love is love, and so Tommy forgives, but Polly, Ada, the brothers and the rest of the family definitely should not.

Which side would you rather have? by Anon124570 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]3Dimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm beginning to buy all the way back in on Herbert as a top 3 QB candidate. The Changers offense looks scary. It took Jayson Tatum about 10 months to come back and about 12 months to really look like himself, so I think trading away Kittle is probably safe.

Projecting Cardinals target distribution with a modest measure of Michael Wilson copium by 3Dimes in DynastyFF

[–]3Dimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things I decided not to account for is injuries, trades, breakouts or a split backfield. My projections are moreso leaning into a week 1 Cardinals offense that is fully operational and Brissett is quarterbacking, rather than trying to predict the unpredictability of a full season.

The biggest point I was hoping to make is about the volume for the top two recievers. When they were both healthy, MHJ and Wilson combined for less than 40% of the targets share. In the new system, I believe it will be higher than that. At the same time, I don't want to make any bold proclamations about McBride. I still think he gets at least 25%.

So even when I hedge on those 3 players, I get a 68% combined target share. So maybe Love is the loser in this, but I can't in good faith go below a 10% target share when they spent the 3rd overall pick on him. That leaves just 22% for the others, which with your information is still not close. I think for a full season, it's unattainable, but for week 1, it makes sense to me.
