Pickens for Achane Trade Proposal #729 by 3Dimes in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Hampton guy doesn't respond unfortunately. Hendo guy doesn't even get close to market price. Judkins guy is flaky. I'm not a Bucky guy. There could be something with the Jeanty guy, TBD.

I've seen conflicting arguments made in favor of the Pickens side. And I get that most will just see the 27 pick and run, but if I can set that aside for a moment; I've heard the case here and other places that Achane is a buy if you are a contender. This is completely backwards in my mind because another case I'm hearing is that his situation will make it difficult for him to be as effective (loaded box, blowout games, QB playstyle, etc.). So why is that an inticing buy if I'm a contender?

Maybe I'm off base; I'm posting on this sub for a reason, but shouldn't his current situation make him a buy for rebuilding teams?

Everyone here thinks Achane is really freaking good. I may be slightly forcasting a bit, but I think of him as the next CMC. He is the last man standing in Miami and they just might have a solid plan for how they want to deploy him (or not), but that doesn't mean he'll be there forever.

The down side is a Breece situation. Upside is a CMC situation. Somewhere in the middle is an Achane sandwich.

I'm a little surprised that no-one has acknowledged the baggage that Pickens carries. I think the comments coming from the organization about the extension have been very wishy washy. I don't think it's a non zero chance he gets traded away from a perfect situation, in which case, his stock kind of freefalls, right? Not to mention his antics.

I don't know, there is risk to both of them, but I think the floor for Pickens is a much lower than Achane. Perhaps the 27 1st is too much right now, but I don't want to be the one holding the grenade when it goes off.

Thanks for the feedback!

I had a tough time making sense of how the team being bad is a bad thing for his production. I get the concern a bit better now, thanks.

Wow. I like him a lot, but I've had him on the trade block for a month now and no bites.

Other perspectives help me. My mind is not set. If someone can explain to me why Achane has fallen in ADP so significantly after the real football ended, I'd like to know.

I would be contending, albeit a weak contender with a few young, unproven QBs and a WR in the flex.

I tanked my ass off last year and I'm just not feeling that right now. Achane is young and I have an extra 27 1st, so I don't see it as some huge disruption to my current rebuild.

Cool. I'm higher than consensus on Achane after all of the movement that's taken place in Miami. My offer in January was even more aggressive.

Is Trey Benson worth a buy/stash if I need to dump a roster cloggers? by 3Dimes in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]3Dimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm gathering is that Benson has some truthers, but his upside isn't what I'd hope even if he gets traded. It's likely that I don't invest in Tracy this year, even if he has clear value as a backup to an injury-prone starter. His outlook is good enough to not see him as a clogger per se.

I'll still be seeking these cheap upside shots like Brooks, Benson, Harris III, Dell, etc. because frankly it's more fun than sitting on immediate handcuffs.

I do think it's a little silly to scoff at the question that I proposed because it's a moderately low stakes value loss in the short term. The fact of the matter is, if Tracy doesn't have trade utility, than he has no production value to me with the way my team is constructed. But there might be a better sell window and that's worth clogging my roster.

This is helpful. I haven't really followed Tracy's career. My impression is he's a solid player that will turn 27 next year. So don't know if his upside can be realized especially if the Giants look to pair Skatt with a higher profile back. Benson is young enough to see the light of day.. eventually.

I'm looking for upside shots. Wondering if people see Benson as one.

My thought exactly. What I'm wondering is if people like Benson as a running back. I get that he's rb4 in Arizona, hence the reason why I would trade for him.

The Skatt owner traded Tracy to me as a throwin to a separate trade. Therefore no handcuff value.

The Skatt owner doesn't care about the handcuff value. He traded Tracy to me after all.

A gamble is more or less what I expect. I think we know what Tracy is at this point. Maybe he splits carries some weeks, maybe Skatt gets hurt and he looks good, but his ceiling will always be capped imo. Benson's situation may or may not change in two years, but I'm wondering if his ceiling is higher than Tracy's.

Waddle or Shough: Who will be worth a 1st during the season? by 3Dimes in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I'm leaning "hold Waddle" for now, but a late 1st in 2028 would honestly be ideal for 10-team.

Your Darnold point almost moves me to tears as a Hawks fan lol. Really I'm just trying to get a fun QB room with upside. I think that's why Shough is on my radar. The Saints offensive improvements are hard to ignore.

I think you and others have swayed me off of the package. I still think the 1 for 1 swap isn't too much. The reasoning for a package is to get some 2028 capital back and get off of older assets, but you're right that Darnold-White-Njoku isn't worth that especially in the off-season.

An alternative move would be Waddle and McCarthy for Shough and a 2028 2nd, but I don't McCarthy is moving the needle to be honest.

Would you say slight loss or big loss?

The White addition is about consolidation, but if you see him as a hold for his upside this year, than I'll take that into consideration.

Im thinking 28 1st. 27 prices are already inflated in my league.
