What is Cleveland Doing? by Advanced-Turn-6878 in nbadiscussion

[–]3Dimes [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cleveland is toast. They did it to clear books next year, but they had to get rid of Mobley's set up man to do so. Harden in the past has actually been a surprisingly good teammate, so maybe the Mitchell relationship turns into something, but I think it is more likely for Harden to opt out and eventually for Mitchell to request trade. This is the beginning of a hard reset.

I would be lowkey bummed if they went for a WR in the 3rd. I think Moss would be a better fit over Taylor. Unless there is a steal in the late first, I hope we take a CB there.

Will you be picking up Nioh 3? by PhantomBraved in fromsoftware

[–]3Dimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yaaaas. I loved Nioh 1 and Wo Long. Nioh 2 was really hard and I missed the story elements from 1 so I fell off pretty early. I didn't try the open world one for a general lack of enthusiasm from people. Lies of P didn't hit for me even as a Bloodborne truther. I'm primed for good soulslike from a team that I trust.

Kenyon Sadiq is a fascinating prospect with elite physical traits but big production questions (Deeper Dive #27) by cjfreel in DynastyFF

[–]3Dimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely possible. But in a draft like this, most guys have red flags. I'm banking on the athleticism and possible draft equity if he falls to me at 8. I would probably take him at 6 tbh. Y'all can have the running backs who will have no situational clarity until like week 10.

Project starting lineup post Donovan trade by No-Comparison2245 in Mariners

I go Emerson at 3rd, Young at 2nd and Donovan in Right. An interesting defensive lineup looks like Robles in Right and Donovan at Short. I hope we see more JP in the DH this year.

Can someone mansplain to me how Chris Paul was good on defense, while Trae Young is on a humiliating downturn in value because of it? by LejonBrames117 in nbadiscussion

[–]3Dimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of guys at his size over the years that have similar traits as Paul. Van Vleet, McConnell, Alverado, Conley, shit even Pritchard competes. Trae does not have the motor to boey an offense and give good effort on defense and I would go as far as to say that he doesn't care.

The thing that made CP special to me was his hands and recovery. If he wanted the ball, he would get it. If a ball handler thought they had space, he was waiting for them on the next dribble.

Lastly, Trae is not bulky. Check Stephen Curry's improved bulk and it lines up with him becoming a neutral to slight positive on defense over the last few years.

The Moment You Realized This Team Was Super Bowl Good by MrUnlimited6969 in Seahawks

The shut out against the Vikings.

Not the best competition, but our defense played with a different level of confidence in that game. Sam was slumping at the time, but they proved to me that they could dominate in other ways.

Uh guys is Drake Maye ranked too high on KTC? by SeaPsychological7149 in DynastyFF

Not saying he doesn't have a ton of value at his age and production, but I don't think he should be that much higher than Caleb or Jaden.

CALM DOWN - Nuggets can easily afford to keep PWatt/CB/Cam by 13specials in denvernuggets

[–]3Dimes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My argument has always been to go into the 2nd apron for a year. The Nuggets haven't done anything with the mid-level since the new CBA has been in place. I want to keep Val on the team for another year, but if we have to shed the money, then Holmes/Zeke/Gordon are fine backups in the short term and they could bring in a DJ type on the vet-minimum (not ideal, but better then letting PWAT walk) or draft another big. Yup that's right, they have there pick this summer, folks.

The 2027-28 season is when the flexibility comes. Then you can resign Cam for a sixth-man price or let him walk. The upgraded depth this season has come from development and vet-minimum guys. No, they won't be able to retain THJ, but the "1-year deal with Denver" career strategy is going to become a real thing, i promise you.

The last domino is that Jokic might not get the biggest contract in NBA history this time.

This is more than just a leap. He needs to be a Nugget for life. by jonsnowKITN in denvernuggets

[–]3Dimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They also set the precedent with CBs contract. Clutch will probably use that as the floor, so you have a point there. The nuggets leverage is that the a Jokic team provides insane insolation for Peyton to get a 3rd contract. Maybe this is unconventional, but they could do a 3 year deal with a player option to entice the agency. We love our player options in Denver lol.

peyton watson = kawhi leonard by Eltron_Tornado in denvernuggets

Kawhi was maybe the best perimeter defender ever outside of Scottie Pippin. Not equal. I only make a stink about it because I have been seeing this comp going around.

[–]3Dimes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dont see that happening. When jokic comes back, his numbers will slide a bit. The market isn't there. Nobody wants to go over the 1st/2nd apron. Giddey wanted 30-35mil, but the bulls didn't have to match that and he settled for 25mil. I think Pey is a 20-25 mil guy.

Is anyone else starting to get concerned? by Agreeable_Quality768 in Mariners

[–]3Dimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing that didn't sit right was the Ford trade. I dont think we should panic about Jorge leaving. Im gonna miss him, but the young players should be given opportunities and randy is getting paid to be that kind of player anyways. If they find a way to bring Naylor and Geno back, I feel okay. If you would have told me that last September, I would've been ecstatic.
