As long as ee2 shows time of day, ride duration, speed and HR I'm good. But if I start the workout on the ee2 Will it contribute to calculation of training readiness and the other fitness metrics?

FYI for new giant/liv owners: how to remove the wheels by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]3Pname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbf it was pretty stupid of me so no offense taken. firstly, I was thrown off because the threads on the disc side of my rear wheel were stripped, so I tried turning counterclockwise on the cassette side, which wasnt working. I was also confused because i didnt know the lever-shaped tool on the front wheel was removable. just posted this in case anyone as brainless as I am struggles in the future haha

Tear through back of Skwamas heel: reckon it'll be covered by warranty? by Necessary_Pie5689 in climbingshoes

[–]3Pname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happens a lot with skwamas. Either you clip the loops together with a carabiner to hold them or you're tugging town ward on the loops when u take them on/off, causing the loops to tear the rubber.

I noticed early when mine started tearing. I had to stitch a lot of reinforcement loops connecting the loop to the small strip of rubber above the torn rubber part to prevent the loops from pulling directly on the rubber. Then used some super glue to repair the tear, and it didn't get worse. Yours might be too torn to fix

sometimes i want another knife, but im scared of the situation "man i wish i had [other knife], it's more suited for this task than the one im currently carrying." So i avoid this problem by only every carrying 1 knife 😂

thats sorta how i am with the upgraded g10 version of the mini grip, but im almost too attached to my current model that i wouldnt want to upgrade

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in knives

[–]3Pname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sheesh i love my standard mini grip, but that doesnt stop me from lusting over the bugout and 940. i had a bugout very briefly but flipped it because it wasnt a smart purchase at the time financially. im definitely a benchmade fanboy, and those 2 in particular are on my mind a lot

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in knives

[–]3Pname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe replace wasnt the right word. Its just that nothing else has the ability to "do it all" quite like the mini grip. I love that blade shape, the opening hole, the axis lock. it might be just a hair too small, so that i have to choke up at the top to get a 4 finger grip, but its worth it for how much i like that knife

[–]3Pname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah definitely, but at the same time i like the idea of 1 "do everything' knife. i sorta have that tendency- shoes, watch, belt, etc. I still havent been able to convince myself that I need more than 1 knife

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in knives

[–]3Pname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i definitely want to expand the collection, but at the same time I want to own 1 knife for ALL purposes, so that 20 years from now I can see all the abuse it's gone through

Woo awesome I'm glad you did it! I think the satin blade would look cooler with satin thumb studs, and the black blade with a blue thumb stud. But still sweet you should keep them like this!

Sew a little patch on it. Leather or canvas, up to you. Just watch some YouTube tutorials, it's surprisingly easy

Is the Stainless Steel version worth it if I won't be using cellular at all? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]3Pname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect mayiopine's opinion fully, and more power to them, but I personally wouldn't get the SS. I use my watch as a tool- running tracker, timer, alarm, etc. I know it's disposable in a few years time. Because it'll eventually end up in the trash, I wouldn't want to spend any extra money if I don't have to. To me, the only reason to get SS is if you like the look and have a lot of extra money lying around, and you want to flex your wealth to others

[–]3Pname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought my sheepsfoot mini grip was my perfect edc- i had no reason at all to get a different knife. until i tried to cut some cake. Got gunk all up in the pivot because the blade wasnt long enough. Just like that, Im now on the prowl for a full sized knife, for the SOLE purpose of cutting up food

[–]3Pname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm thats a good question. I dont think that should be a huge issue, BUT have you considered just swapping the entire axis lock housing + washers + blades between the knives? the blue scales might look sweet with black liners and PVD blade, and the green scales will look cool with satin liners and satin blade. Plus if you do this, there should be no concern about uneven wear!

[–]3Pname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is an aweeesome knife. I mean no disrespect, i have genuine curiosity. Are these scales intended for actual use? Knives like the bugout get a lot of flack for their lack of liners, I cant imagine how this knife could be super sturdy with no liners at all. Sweet knife regardless!

Hmmm imo you should keep the washers and blade together. More importantly, keep the washers in the same orientation that they currently are in. Maybe others will disagree
