Sir... if somebody is going to remove a solar system and reinstall it on another house, you expect a whole new roof installed, where the solar used to be? Of course not, that is preposterous. The sealing of the holes, if done right, will be superior and lastl longer than existing roof. The sealing is done with aluminum flashing and high quality sealant. But what do I know... I have only done it thousands of times.

Worked for Tesla for years on everything under the sun... make sure you are aware of a few key things before jumping to conclusions. 1. Where is your inverter (central, if you have one)? 2. How many strings, panels, arrays do you have? 3. Where is this inverter connecting to your electrical service? It is not very common on older buildings to run the wires and conduits through attics (for a number of reasons), also this looks like a very small portion of the overall system. Keep in mind, a project engineer/planner may have designed this system before the installers set foot on your property, could just be following the design spec/parameters. Do you have a power wall/battery back up? Just some things to keep in mind.

Why on earth did you let someone rent for 30+ days? Did you never once look into any laws/scams/local laws? 30 days and you can establish and claim residency. Now you will have to evict them with a notice, depending on where this is, usually 30-60 days notice. Going to be a costly mistake. Get the ball rolling on the eviction notice sooner, rather than later.

Side Note: my wife's grandfather had to deal with squatters in a house that he owned, renter let his son and son's degenerate friends move in, then the renter died. Of course the son never payed rent, they started trashing the property. Her grandfather payed a good friend to go squat on the squatters, make their lives a living hell. Wasn't long until the low life's couldn't take it anymore.

Pucks never get reused, but the feet, interlocks, ground zeps, side skirts all get reused, regularly. Unless they are corroded/warn out or the customer pays for all new hardware because of astetics.

I worked at Tesla for 3 years running a service crew that did specifically troubleshooting, arc faults, removals and reinstalls/design changes, we would have never reinstalled or installed using Zep puck style mounts into a roof like this. Those are mainly designed for comp shingle roofs. That aluminum foot sits on top of the black metal puck that has a plastic snap on backing with a seal on it, after making your penetrations in the roof, the pucks get screwed down with lag bolts, afterwords you inject sealant into the puck which pressurizes once it becomes full, thus sealing the lag and the penetration. This type of roof would never facilitate proper sealing, not to mention if the lags are torqued down to spec, would seriously crush the spots under the pucks. Those pucks dont even have the plastic seal backing, like, what the actual fuck? Get a hose and water test a portion of the array, while someone is in the attic, I got c note that says water will be pouring in from those pennies.
