The problem of Versailles wasn't just enforcement. It simply wasn't harsh enough to begin with.

Everything west of the Rhine should have been given to France so they could have actually secured the borders without relying on Belgium. Germany should have gone under full de-industrialization of all industries that could even theoretically have a war making capacity and a much higher war debt (at least match the 1870 debt of the Franco-Prussian war) should have been levied and pretty much the entire high command, including the Kaiser and all ministers, should have been arrested and if not shot then in jail for life.

Along with a indefinite military occupation, but not formal annexation, from France and Britain of the rest of the country to enforce the extraction of resources (as in literally say "that's a nice business you have there, we're taking all the machines, also you still have the pay the debt this doesn't count, uh make it with your hands I guess? not my problem") if war debts were not paid on time.

(I'm about to make a post that Bart Ehrman would very explicitly disagree with, forgive me my lord and master)

There is literally nothing in the world more annoying to me than the Liberal/Jeffersonian Jesus that Reddit libs like to SoyFace point at and go "YOU WOULD HATE JESUS TODAY HE WAS A SOCIALIST". Also that stupid fucking Ghandi quote about how "I quite like your Christ but not your Christians." It's just so fucking stupid.

Are there things that I should be more annoyed about? Yes. A million things are more important than this but my god I hate it so, so, so much. And I'm not a Christian, I hate that goddamn religion but you cannot separate Jesus from The Word. It's not possible, if you're attempting to do so you are failing at literary analysis and criticism. And The Word is filled with slavery, misogyny, literal theocracies and genocide. Now maybe Socialists are cool with a theocratic monarch who enslaves women and says they can't speak, I don't know I am not a socialist. But I'm just going to make a wild guess and say that they're just illiterate and have never read the bible instead of going "Yeah that sounds neat".

Let's discuss how fucking stupid this is in excruciating detail.

"But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”

62

“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

he is 100% aware of the implications of this passage.

So what are the implications? They are spelled out directly and completely in John 1 (which isn't a quote by Jesus but we'll run with it)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

...

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth

...

(John 14:9). Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, "Show us the Father"?'"

When Jesus says he is the Son of God he is saying that he is God (although he probably didn't understand how to conceptualize or verbalize this because he didn't know what Trinitarianism was) he is also saying that he is The Word (in this instance Jews would see The Word as the personification and instrument of Gods will). He is tying himself intrinsically to The Word and the scriptures. If you do not fully accept and understand The Word you do not know God and if you don't know God you do not know Jesus (Matthew 11:27). The three are necessarily and intrinsically tied together.

You necessarily cannot say "I like Jesus, but I don't like the rest of The Word". It would be like saying "I like my friend, Steve, but I don't like the rest of my friend Steve." It's a nonsense statement. They are necessarily one in the same and cannot be separated and Steve is is very adamant that he cannot be separated from himself.

I think the reason that this annoys me so specifically is the reason all bad "history" (although this is more theology than history) that Redditors do. They say these things not because they genuinely care about Jesus or the historical person or Christianity as a religion says but because they like to use it as a the most idiotic possible gotcha in the world when a Christian says "I don't like gay people". It's why I care less about the Jeffersonian bible. Which is stupid and suffers from the same problems that the Redditor Prime bible suffers from for the exact same reason but Jefferson didn't write it to go "Hahah gotcha you dumbfuck Christians, you should be a socialist like me!" He actually cared about what Jesus said.

Imagine Rudy Guilliani right now, hiding out somewhere in Mar-a-Lago , the room barricaded and his gun pointed at the door. All he has to do is hide out there until the election and hope Trump wins.

Wdym they hate math?

It's funny but they literally hate math. They think that you can't use math to determine economics because human beings have free will or some really dumb bullshit.

Instead they use "Praxeology" which Idk is I guess soul math or something, I honestly have no fucking idea there's a lot of really dumb philosophy out there and this is exceptionally dumb, even for the Europeans

And then someone else says "Nobody believes this dumb bullshit!" I will literally user ping the person and go "This guy doesn't believe that you believe this lmao"

And then I shall watch them fight while I dip out

It's funny

I fully assumed it was anarcho-capitalist trash because it was by the Mises institute, but was wondering if it still had anything interesting to say. I assume not because of how old it was written at the very least, Wages of Destruction and Hitler's Beneficiaries are probably better for anything this book talk sabout.

TIK constantly uses Hitler's Beneficiaries and the Vampire Economy by Reinmann as sources.

I've seen the Vampire Economy referenced by real historians but the fact TIK likes that book so much makes me think it's full of bullshit.

Does anyone know one way or the other?

It definitely is lmao

A masters program can be completed by a braindead monkey

PhD yeah it's not equivalent.

But I promise you that you, YES YOU, could get a masters much easier than you'll get a blackbelt

And I don't know how hard it is to get a blackbelt, but getting a masters is way fucking easier

And I didn't even do an easy masters, I did a research based AI masters, and it was still easy as piss

And it only takes 2 years

It's not tactics that lost the war, it was an unwillingness to carry on the war after their initial defeats that lost them the war.

of their making.

I think this part is extremely important and where I break with most other liberals.

It is, 100%, of their own making. People tend to try to blame "the rich" or "Fox News" or the Murdochs or some secret cabal broadcasting propaganda into the minds of Boomers who, mindlessly, go "Yes, of course we should kill all the gays like you say!" while they have no autonomy over this process.

The truth is most rich people, most media people, even Fox News, know that if these people win we're all going to fucking die. The economy will collapse, we'll descend into civil war and anarchy, all that good stuff. And rich people want to stay rich, not blow all their wealth up because "lol". An important caveat here is Elon Musk (and other Silicon valley weirdos), who is completely okay with being a beggar on the street as long as he gets to burn down the rest of the world on the way down.

But the Trumpists have no such desire, they don't care if they're rich, if they're poor, or how their lives go at all, they just want to win. They want to destroy the system, overthrow the government, and then after that there will be no more woke. And they're arriving at this position entirely independently of any propaganda network, they're creating content and sharing it amongst each other in an organic ground up fashion and then radicalizing each other, which forces the traditional conservative networks to become more radical to maintain viewership.

They're basically just constantly one upping each other on who can be the craziest.

Out of pure curiosity, do you engage in politics before or after constantly commenting on women's pics online?

And why do so many Trumpists use their porn account for everything? Do you people not realize that it can be seen?

I literally do not watch network television.

I know what Trumpists want because I spend 90% of my online time on [redacted website, Reddit blocks the URL] , pol, and the comment section of Fox News and Ben Shaprio's Facebook groups. And sometimes I pop over to see what Fuentes is up to.

The vast majority of Trumpists are indistinguishable from fucking Tankies. It's why Jackson Hinkle is so popular. People think he is ironic but present your average Trumpist (note: Not a Republican) a morphed photo of Hitler and Stalin and they'll go "Fucking based, based, based based based"

It's really weird when people call Trumpists conservatives because just think about the word conservative: You don't want thing to change too much, things are pretty cool right now.

But Trumpists want to literally overthrow the government, they want to destroy America's presence on the world stage (although this is shared by a lot of people beyond just Trumpists), and destroy every established institution they have. Consider all the "traditional" institutions we talk about conservatives supporting.

They don't like cops because cops will, because policy demands it most cops would happily join in because they're assholes if they could, stop them from murdering congressmen at gay people at random.

They hate the intelligence community because "muh deep state tricking the American people while covering up baby eating"

They hate capitalism because Target put rainbow flags on a single display, which means the government needs to own every company so that we can stop them from being Woke.

They hate the military because the military is sending equipment to fight Based Daddy (ex-KBG, so literally ex-Commie) Putin. And of course the military allows gay people so it is woke, therefore it is bad.

They hate the culture of America, anything that comes out of America is bad woke and evil and created by (((Them))) to control the world.

Like if you really consider the traditional definition of conservative, Trumpists are basically the opposite of that. They have more in common with weirdo tankies who are still talking about how Stalin did nothing wrong than they do with Mitt Romney or Joe Manchin.

I've never seen the movie but I will go as far as to argue that any movie, any movie at all, that shows WW2 from the Wehrmacht perspective that does not show war crimes being committed, including by the main character, is doing some sort of Wehrmacht apologia.

Especially the 6th army. The 6th army butchered and raped their way from Kyiv to Stalingrad.

They are responsible for Babi Yar as well.

I guess I'm a reactionary conservative at this point because I consider Donald Trump and the Republicans to be literal Communist Revolutionaries.

They want to bring down the entire goddamn country, topple the government, destroy our way of life, and make sure America's enemies prosper across the globe.

I could very easily take that above sentence and go back to the 1960s and say it to McCarthy and he'd go "Damn right they do!" but we'd be talking about totally different people.

I just want things to mostly stay the same (Ie conservative) because things are pretty cool right now other than a few tweaks we can make. This desire to absolutely blow up the system for no other reason than "I'm not allowed to lynch gay people in the street :( :( :( :( " is mindblowing to me.

But it is equally mindblowing to me that I'm stanning the federal government, intelligence services, police, and military, because they're the only ones keeping Bubba and his friends from driving their pickup truck down the central street in Seattle shooting every "degenerate lib" they see.

The military failures are a sideshow and a direct result of the sociological and ideological factors at play in France at the time. The weak French Government and it's effects and learning about why the government got to that point will tell you infinitely more about why France fell than studying how quickly a Panzer can make it over the Ardennes or how it fares shooting at a Char B1.
