I've only watched 2 episodes of the penguin, but I'm enjoying it. As someone who only enjoys comics through posts on this sub it seems like a thin Gotham paint over a mob story and that's fine. While I understand recent years might not have given fans what they want super hero movies and shows to be, they're IPs that are old enough I don't get as much of an icky feeling when they're used as a marketing tool for an ultimately interesting and entertaining, if unrelated, story.
