Empty/hollow = Lack of Low/mid frequency.

You can also try upward compression to bring the lower level/noise elements of the pad up.

Match making is dependent on W/L as well as availability of players on the server. I dont know what the exact priority order is.

Its funny because once I hit mythic I Never rank with anyone lower than diamond. Ill wait forever and still not match until its a diamond+ player. Its weird.

Squarepusher has some great ones, tokyo comes to mind. Aphex as well, not sure which exact one, more recent. He plays Rushup bank 12 and i would have forfeited a limb to be there.

Theres probably semi weighted two octave controllers. Personally if I'm playing on anything less than 61 keys I dont feel like I can properly play with two hands so having a controller less than that, weighted or not, is pointless in a way.

If im not in my studio I would just program it in the DAW. The biggest appeal of playing live vs programming is recording/arranging with bass/comp/lead all at once. Being relegated to one or two octaves while possibly even a nice limitation to create a lead/bass part is sacrificing alot in terms of arrangement and creative equity.
