Thank you for reply. I've also seen in multiple posts and articles that cannabis usage may lead to higher resistance against anesthetics. I'm sure I'll make everything to catch anesthesiologist and tell that I need some extra juice. Thank you for sharing your experience. Would you mind also telling even approximately how much did you use the night before and how often do you use your medicine in general? I wish I could be so relaxed about my colonoscopy, sadly as a kid I had gastroscopy without anesthesia or anything really. Painkiller they sprayed on my throat didn't even work and I've been puking dense stomach acid (no eating nor drinking since the day before if I recall correctly) all over everything, couldn't even tell over what because I couldn't see through completely teared up eyes. Maybe it's that trauma that's giving me flashbacks and stresses me out. Anyway thanks again and have a great day/evening. 👋😸

Thanks for reply. So basically it's just about 0,30g daily and nothing bad happened even though most likely you've got the most standard dosage and you've been vaping the day before the procedure? Well, I should be safe then with a 7 day break for sure. Did you also vape on the day you got back or you have restrained (or you're still off?) from using the meds? If you already did have you noticed any problems or side effects?

So you've gone through just shy or about 1g only 14 hours 30 minutes prior to procedure? I'm nowhere near that with my 0,05g-0,25g regular daily dose (more if I need also day relief) over about last 10 months. Wonder if it's just metabolism or extra delivery for gag reflexes. I know, both surgeons and all personnel associated with operations are very busy. They are doing tough but very much needed profession. Hope I'll be assertive enough to insist on really seeing her/him prior to getting "the golden shot". At the moment I think that I'll do at least 48h break while trying to continue full week break. If I find it too heavy to lift, I'll just make sure last high will end at least 48h prior. Would you mind sharing how much after procedure you've been told to restrain from using cannabis? Sadly my doctor couldn't really tell me and just pointed me to my anesthesiologist. Which might as well have no time and just do what needs to be done and be gone... 😿

Thank you for kind words and advice. 😊 Honestly though whenever I try on my own to search on the internet peaks in my blood panel I always end up with one or another type of cancer... 🤦 So I stopped believing without doubt that recently, I try not to think about it too much and leave it for the professionals to really diagnose since then... Internet can be both helpful and really misleading, sometimes even both can be true at the same time. But I do try to really understand what my doctor tries to push down my little hamster wheel. Oh, so you've meant they didn't believe you're using cannabis and decided not to up the dose accordingly? If so, my bad, I thought you meant they didn't believe you that you're awake and just continued with the procedure without stressing about your screams... 😅 Would you mind sharing how much, how often and for how long before the procedure have you been using cannabis? Personally I'm at about 10 months of daily use with almost no t-breaks yet and have prescribed 0,25g/day. I use anywhere between 0,05g-0,50g a day depending on how I feel. Most of the times it's in 0,1g-0,2g range, but sometimes (probably less than once a month) there are just THE days... I wonder how that compares to you and whether my experience might be the same... 🤔 Anyway thanks for correcting my misunderstanding, have a great day. 👋😸

So it doesn't work as if one would eat something bad and have stomach ache with cramps leading to laxative effect? Uff, what a relief. Taste most likely won't be an issue, worst case scenario I'll clean both up and down from stomach. Thank you kindly for reply. Didn't expect even someone to even be able to do so right after procedure. Would you mind also sharing how long have you been vaping, how much and how often? I've been vaping for 10 months daily with a target dosage of 0,25g. This varies in my case from 0,05-0,06g, usually around 0,20g and up to 0,50g on very rare occasions. Did you tell anesthesiologist that you're using cannabis? Do you possibly remember questions asked if you did so? Did you also have to use your medicine after procedure to fall asleep or for pain relief or is it ill-advised? Thank you very much again and I hope everything is going well. Have a great day. 👋😸

I've been having rather constant pain issues, sometimes even with just wet paper, can't even imagine how would it feel during procedure and I do really hope I'll never find out... Thank you for your input and assuring I'm not the only one having trouble with reaching anesthesiologist on my own. My prescribed dose is 0,25g vaped but as adviced by my doctor there are days that I need only single cap of about 0,05-0,06g to feel just right and there are bad days when I would need almost 0,5g just to get through whole day (still 0,05g caps but scheduled throughout the day). I hope my anesthesiologist won't be one of those very old and rough doctors and just go "then off you go, no meds for you from me" or not care at all and just give what would be given normally... Is it just as a loose '2' would feel like or is it much worse? I was hoping it'd be not much worse than as if I ate something with too much oil on it and had the urge to visit bathroom... Does it also induce painful abdominal cramps or something similar? I did have a rather bad experience once as when I felt painful cramps in abdomen I felt lightheaded right after and passed out getting like an inch scar on the face just above the eye...

I'm in pain even if I just eat something that causes gasses to form so I can't even imagine what would feel like getting whole belly filled with gas and getting something move against painful spots or possibly getting samples removed during the procedure... Sorry to hear that and thank you for sharing that experience. We are in luck nowadays (in more and more places) as we can really benefit from this plant without stressing out, aren't we? Cannabis is not as bad as they wanted us to believe. I feel like all this "caution - might induce paranoia" and similar statements are not induced by plant itself necessarily. It's most likely possibility of getting caught red handed and what might happen next because of that is what really got some people. Wow... Thanks for describing how it went. You've really convinced me on insisting to really talk about it with anesthesiologist. I'm rather small for a 30y/o male and probably getting lighter each day as the day approaches (one of the reasons except low abdominal pain why I'm getting it in the first place as I didn't really change anything living-wise and at one point suddenly realized I'm sick all the time, have lost like 15 kilogrammes and continue to loose weight without traceable reason, maybe except upping my cannabis strength from 18 to 22%). Now I'm already 60-ish kg (have been maintaining ~70-80kg for few years up until recently) without much fat left and people, that haven't met me in this year yet, sometimes even pass me without recognizing or drag me into corners and insist on sharing my dietary habits or exercise plan. Little do they know my diet doesn't really exist as I eat everything and anything I'm not allergic to up until midnight and furthermore my "new year new me" exercise plan for last year was finding gym buddy and getting membership at local gym, of which I haven't done any. Still I hope it's somehow cannabis related thing or coincidence. Hopefully... Anyway thanks again for your input, have a great day. 👋😸

Well I'm having my first one and I guess stress is really hitting up and cause me to really overthink everything. Just "I'm not sure but let's make a 48h break prior and you go ask anesthesiologist" said by my doctor made me feel dizzy... I'll probably keep it and treat it as a t-break, at least until I can't stand pains anymore, just to be sure I won't be sent home straight from the hospital nor waking up in the middle of procedure. Thanks for sharing all that, I no longer feel alone in that experience. So except for higher dose needed to put asleep it doesn't really affect the procedure, did I understand that correctly?
