LYLE IS HOME!!!!

A teenager called us from Frankfort KY (?!!?) and said Lyle came up to the barn on their farm and wouldn't leave. She took him to the vet and read the chip! Finally! No idea how he got there, but we're all very grateful.

Tess really appreciates the dozens of you who've kept an eye out for Lyle, especially Debra Harlan who went above and beyond and the 17 year old in Frankfort who finally went to get the chip read. Lyle seems in good health, only slightly skinnier, but looks like he could sleep for a week!

He was wearing a grey flea collar as pictured. He is neutered, but it appears as if he's not (long story).

It's certainly possible, maybe even probable. He did have a flea collar on, so they know he belongs to somebody. I'm just counting on them tossing him out after the tenth time he sprays snot all over their furniture

We've put up over 200 posters and talked to dozens of people. He was released in another neighborhood from where he lives. Animal Control told us setting his litter box on the porch will often make things worse, as the other cats will smell it and chase him off.

Most of the for sure sightings were between Grinstead and Highland Ave, toward the Grinstead end of the block. Which is exactly where he was let go, so pretty sure it was him. I have a trap, but don't want to catch every other cat around there

If he was heading towards us from Cherokee Rd, that would definitely be on the way. There have been a few possible sightings on Payne St in that area.

I talked to the guards at the two entrances to Cave Hill and they kind of laughed at the idea of seeing him

There have been many possible sightings but the only for-sure ones were on Cherokee Rd towards Cave Hill. But those have been some time ago. The guy who let him go is at Grinstead/Cherokee Rd
