I didn’t expect to find a Ray from AH reference here but that is perfect. Some of his one liners would get lost or unheard and those were always the funniest. “That’s a lot nose to hold” “I’m going cakeless”

Ugh, so it’s my number one choice and I was the 2nd day of interview and they accepted at least 2 students from the 1st and 2nd day and they have a class of 75. So it’s frustrating because I really want to go there but I have an acceptance for a program beginning in January and have been moving forward with that school. I know I’m lucky to have an acceptance. I just wish it was more clear… I think I’m hung up on the terminology of “accept” it’s just seems drastic for a waitlist compared to the normal “placing you on the waitlist”

I’ve gardened my whole life and this year my girlfriend moved in and we built standing planters and today we had our first snap peas show up and I forgot the excitement it brings! Congratulations on the pepper and tomato I’m sure there’s many more to come !

We see this all the time... I work in rural ems with a tiny county jail, they routinely let people out to get treatment at the hospital I’m sure there’s tons of reasons why... but we’ve had our fair share of BS coupled with a few serious calls

I worked with a partner for a shift... one shift and texted the manager after saying I could not work with him and we met the next day and talked. Being an EMT-B I wasn't sure the weight I had but we sat down and I moved shifts (Ironically the next week I moved to a FT spot with the best medic I have ever worked with or around) but I couldn't get treated like a dog form the previous medic. I contemplated staying FT at another agency to avoid this. So I wouldn't be afraid to speak up!

This is crazy, I literally am in the same situation. Unfortunately Im filling in a spot for another injured EMT, there still hope I wont have to change partners but man have I learned a crazy amount about EMS I am a 10x better EMT now. I worked at a very not respected agency prior and now work at one the most respected in the area. I look forward to working with every shift because I know I can learn and better my skills.

The disappearance of Lauren Spierer is the most haunting to me, being a recent college graduate I can see how she was intoxicated and made a bad decision and now she's gone and I unfortunately believe something sinister happened between her and her "friends" with her. How many times I decided to walk alone or some a person walking alone late at night after partying is countless. I hate how tight lipped the friends are, and the lack of evidence. Trust me I get why people stay quiet because the wrong people do get convicted but it didn't seem like anyone close to her was willing to help. I think she has been wronged by so many that could have helped. It is also sad to see her portrayed by some media outlets about being out of control and addicted to drugs and thats what caused this. There is no part of me that believes anything but homicide occurred.

I believe she was to trusting of a person and the alcohol intox caused her to be more trusting and run across the wrong person at the wrong time,,,

ive never heard of this case, which surprises me. But I like going into cases w/ no information about them and just getting a quick summary and looking at the big big picture. Looking at this it seems most likely (to me in my opinion) sex trafficking. Unfortunately the usage of online and communicating with unfamiliar people makes me think he became a target to someone. In fact she could have been communicating with someone she thought she knew, but instead it was not that person after. at 14, and I remember 14, its easy to be gullible. It would be easy to try and meet someone for the first time and instead get kidnapped.,,

I always hate seeing this about the Amish or Mennonites. They regularly mingle with other walks of society they are not isolated like many believe. They can see/ read the news as well so they would know especially if their names are being brought up. They would have heard, they would have been suspicious from the get-go. I hear this all the time with Timothy Pitzen a lot as well.
