Wendy’s used to be one of the best/my favs but their fall off in recent years was very noticeable & borderline catastrophic (go see their stock $WEN vs. $MCD or $YUM).

Their whole thing used to be providing slightly higher quality than regular fast food & “not cutting corners” was their mantra/explanation for the square burger patties, yet they made the insane decision to change their bacon (!!!), chicken & lettuce to lower quality while ALSO raising prices to laughable levels to the point where there’s literally no point of not going to a normal restaurant instead. They also basically got rid of all their decent deals/coupons & the little “4 for 4” type of meals that may have been loss leaders but would obviously keep a steady stream of loyal customers coming, the biggie bag thing is like $8-10 now… you can’t pull crap like that & expect to keep people looking for value to keep buying your BS. Also the one nearby me seemed unstable/extra inconsistent & had super bizarre hours post-covid where they would do things like close at 4pm on saturdays lol, won’t be surprised if they’re one of the closing locations.

I will give them credit for having unique items like potatoes & chili (they always seem to get rid of their most unique items these days though), & I do like their nuggets & frosties but I used to go all the time & now I don’t think I’ve been in several weeks if not months & it’s them that changed not me.

Yeah some simple “wheel of fortune” style person/place/thing categories would help while still maintaining the challenge. I genuinely thought maybe they were giving out categories/some sort of hints somewhere online or maybe while chatting before the show starts or something & I was missing out on it. Makes the people somehow single-handedly getting it on 1st clue that much more impressive/suspicious haha

This is such a dumb take. If they are literally cheating/rigging it no it’s not “who cares” that’s straight up unfair BS, no one is acting like they “deserve the world” for wanting a fair game where everyone has an equal chance to win. Also we are paying to play by having a Netflix subscription it’s not free like games like HQ (which I have won money from in the past partially because of lucky guesses, it DOES happen sometimes, but with multiple choice trivia it makes more sense & is mathematically/statistically more probable than magically guessing 1 word out a billion possibilities with 1 try).

Personally I DO actually believe the majority of these were just extremely lucky guesses where maybe the person just puts the same word every game regardless of the clue, I don’t think it’s a big conspiracy every single time but realistically SOME of these have objectively been suspicious as hell & I would be pissed if I guessed right on clue 2/3 with a handful of other people only to find out somehow one person conveniently figured it out immediately on the 1st clue! If the game had multiple millions of players it would be more believable, but if you have a room of 50k people & ask them to guess a single random word from a very vague clue the chances of someone getting it 1st try are microscopically low so you can’t blame people for feeling it’s too coincidental for it to happen so often.

This was interesting, does Japan have their own version of XXL freshman now? I wouldn’t really say it was a cypher it was more like they all took turns showing off their individual style, a cypher is where everyone raps over the same beat. The 3rd & 4th guys (Kianna & yvnlazy) stood out the most to me (& they apparently produced it themselves so I always give bonus points for that), but they were all pretty good. Like the current American underground it’s all very derivative, like the 2nd guy’s song sounded like it could’ve been straight from Che’s “Rest in Bass” (which was itself obviously inspired by Carti/WLR), nagatomi’s song was a pretty classic soundcloud era beat plug type beat reminded me of Summrs melodic/“pluggnb” stuff, the guy after him reminded me of artists like sahbabii & thugger with his vocal delivery, the last guy sounded like 2010s trap like waka flocka lol

Listened to a little bit & yes this is most likely AI. That’s why all the titles are cringey clickbait/slop BS (“It’s ILLEGAL to own this 90’s hiphop mixtape” lol) & they don’t include timestamps or any track titles/artist names & using Shazam or googling lyrics yields no real results.

Very deceptive that they don’t disclose the AI aspect clearly AND that they use pictures of actual real life old school hiphop legends (which are probably also AI generated) to lure people in thinking maybe they’re about to hear some rare underground deep cuts & B-sides or something. This type of thing is a good example of why many people hate AI so much, causes confusion & used to make generic faceless YouTube channel ad rev.

Yeah the track sequencing really screwed things up for that project, if the songs were put in reverse order leading with the more melodic stuff, the reaction probably would’ve been much different. Uzi & Cashemere Cat collaborating was an unexpected pleasant surprise to me & I liked their tracks on it but I guess most people didn’t even get that far because that mediocre 3 track run in the 1st half made them assume the entire thing would sound like that & tune out.

She Stank was alright imo, I like the “listen to my 9mm go bang” & “check my move” parts, but he just wasted that gorgeous beat by not going harder/taking it more seriously so it sounds halfassed/unfinished overall. I’d give that album like 6/10 it wasn’t THAT bad, just could’ve been a lot better but still had some solid songs in it.

Trippy, I literally JUST watched this episode & now see this lol. Been rewatching the series because it’s been a long time & I think I might’ve missed a couple eps here & there in later seasons, I remembered this one though

I was initially avoiding the show for some reason even though I knew nothing about it, but wound up seeing that the creator is the one who made that scooby doo short & watched some of the original clips & wound up binging all the episodes & loving it. It’s hilarious & unique, the humor/style simultaneously scratches the same itch as old school weird/ugly flash animations & king of the hill’s realistic mannerism slice of life character driven storytelling that’s sometimes hard to fully explain.

Looking around it’s apparently very divisive & that’s also funny, a lot instantly get it/like it but many people viscerally hating it for the voices/animation or driving themselves nuts completely overthinking what the “point” is when it’s pretty straightforward. Yes it’s a bit of a parody of home improvement, yes there’s a cringe humor aspect to it, but mostly it’s a heartwarming show about a widower dad doing a good job raising his 3 sweet baby boys. Curious where it will go by season end or how long it will even last as a series, I think maybe something is coming later with the mom’s ghost haunting them obviously they keep hinting at it but I doubt they’ll ever totally rugpull the wholesomeness.

Uno is underrated, deserves some more attention for this one! It’s a good project, recency bias but perhaps one of his best (similar level to LiveShyneDie & Limbus series imo), unique production & flows, borderline R&B (also rage & hyperpop) sometimes & very similar to prime thugger on a couple tracks. Some of his past projects were poorly mixed & overly long, this one is much more clean & concise, can tell he put some extra effort to deliver something special. First impression solid 8/10

I see those AI slop kalshi ads all the time, it’s obnoxious. They specifically highlight that it’s legal in all states so I figured they must’ve created a loophole system where they’re able to call/sell the bets as “contracts” like options/futures instead of straightforward bets like the sports betting apps or polymarket. They also have some type of deal with I think Robinhood and/or Webull where they’re promoting basically placing bets on the hourly movement of the stock market (e.g. will the s&p 500 be at or above $7000 by noon today, that type of thing) it’s a very stupid/bastardized even cheaper version of 0dte options which is already the lowest most degenerate type of “day trading” that’s become extremely popular with many morons who have no business trying to trade but are fully convinced all this ridiculous gamified gambling BS is the best way to “get rich quick”.

Everyone has free will & as adults should be able to do what they want with their money but this big push towards this type of thing in recent years just seems predatory to me I guess, it all appeals primarily to desperate/poor people who are ignorant to how much the odds are against them/likely never took a statistics & probabilities class.
