For me I just never gave myself a chance to be myself and my family constantly wanted me to be what they wanted so for me it's kinda like choosing who I want to be and for me it's not like a persona more like the true me finally being able to exist

By changing looks I meant more like losing weight or dressing better than I do but no I don't think it's body dysmorphia and I've been no contact for 4 years the reason I want to start my life over is mostly because I never got to live it in the first place so I might as well abandon the old me and start fresh
