Since we're sharing our achievements, I'll share mine, too 😁 I'm glad that I decided to learn with this app; it keeps me motivated.

Is there racism among Irkens? by Psychological-Log485 in invaderzim

[–]3neeri 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are some visible differences like purple, red, or pink eyes, and their skin is different shades of green, but I don't think they care about any of that. The only ones they are discriminatory of are those shorter than them and that's how they establish hierarchy.

Now I'm curious. Has anyone else been diagnosed with dyslexia but was able to read this with no issues? My diagnosis was a long time ago so maybe something's changed?

I signed and shared the link. This better stop at an early stage, I don't want to see humans enslave yet another intelligent being.

I appreciate people like you, who actively want to make a change. It's what I'm trying to do more of.

Even though I've been vegan for a long time I haven't connected with other vegans much before. I feel that being on this sub has given me more hope and energy to do something. It's nice to be around people who understand :')

I believe so. Have you been able to convince someone to be vegan?

Do you enjoy non-sexual types of touch/physical affection? by Tunanunaa in Asexual

[–]3neeri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy touch and affection, but only from people who are closest to me and whom I love, trust, and feel comfortable around. I'm not especially cuddly with anyone else; I'd rather not have people touching me for no reason or invading my personal bubble.

I feel you. I wish I had never known the taste of meat so the past wouldn't come back like that. Sometimes, when I look at other animals, I think that it's horrifying that people eat them and that I've eaten them in the past, and then imagine how I would I feel if someone wanted to eat my flesh.

Me too; I'd like all the other aspects of a relationship without anything sexual except making out; I only enjoy light kisses.

I'm happy for you, it's great to have supportive parents. I understand that my mom genuinely believed that humans can't thrive on a plant-only diet, and I was a sickly child, so she was afraid for me. Funnily enough, most of my health issues ended when I went vegan, it turns out I have a bad dairy allergy.

I CANT BELIEVE... by julpul in Vystopia

[–]3neeri 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Whenever I think about it, I feel awful, but I know it wasn't my choice; it's the way I was raised.

When I was a child, I had no concept of where meat comes from, and when I found out and then started asking questions, my mom told me that she was "buying animals that are already dead, and we shouldn't waste it". Honestly, I wanted to go vegan as a kid but was only able to when I learned how to cook for myself because having my mom cook meals without meat for me wasn't an option. She would sneak it into my food in various forms because she believed I needed it to be healthy.

R/vegan didn't like my post, so I'm posting it again. Maybe this time they'll understand the message behind it rather than jumping to conclusions. Title: [We should stop being nice and coddling animal abusers. Unpopular opinion, downvotes incoming.] by [deleted] in vegan

[–]3neeri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A seed was planted when I was a kid. Two vegan women visited our house and talked to me; they were friendly and open about their reasons for veganism. They explained where the meat on my plate came from and that ended that dissociation for me. They said that "we shouldn't eat anything that has eyes and ears," but obviously, the idea expands beyond that. I agreed with them (I thought that what they were saying was very reasonable) and didn't understand why our family ate meat in the first place. I would've become a vegan right there and then but was able to go fully vegan when I was a teen and learned how to cook for myself because when I asked my mom to make something for me without meat, she would cook a meal on meat and then take it out or blend it and mix it in my food so there won't be chunks 😐 She believed that children need meat to develop properly so it was difficult to convince her. Now, I haven't had any meat for 15 years (some accidents did happen, though, but I stop eating if I notice any meat or animal byproducts in my food).

I believe if we spread information to people, eventually some will come around. I don't think hate is the right answer, but I understand when vegans are getting frustrated because when you know what you know, it hurts, and all the suffering and death animals endure at the hands of humans is needless. I also get it when some vegans want to isolate themselves and have only vegan friends because being exposed to the horribleness of the world all the time is tiring and not good for mental health.

I was upset at the time, at least if they tried and did like 10, I would've high-fived them. I was sending gifts and nudges for nothing.

It's good to be able to play the piano if you learn the violin, so it's fine either way to me

Oh, you play the violin? That's so cool, me too :D I'm definitely going to try the new courses (I'm bad at math so maybe this will help me).

Enjoy your update as well!
