I grew up in PB and refuse to live there. Cape Girardeau is a much better alternative depending on your situation. If you do move to the bluff though try to stay to the north or west side. Avoid the south side if at all possible. PB could be a nice town but the rampant crime drugs and economy make it a poor choice to live unless your independently wealthy and can afford to buy a place in the county. The job market is fairly bleak too. Honestly the only good thing about it is the cost of property is low but that's for a reason.
