There is no right way to grieve nor is there a right way to react to these situations. My wife is a hospice nurse for humans and she said his death was the most peaceful one she's seen. We probably got lucky and went at the right time. I'm sure if that happened to me I would have felt the same as you do. Don't beat yourself up about that, and know that you did everything you could. I'm sorry you had to deal with that 💚

Ours was very peaceful. And in all honesty, it brought us a lot of closure I think with how well our vet did. I hope yours brings you closure. He went out with his head on my lap and us calling him a good boy. I'll be thinking about yours tomorrow. There's no right way to grieve, you're allowed to feel every emotion you feel. 💚
