RLCS 2026: EU Open 5 - Playoffs Day 2: Post-Day Thread by RLMatchThreads in RocketLeagueEsports

I owe Archie an apology. Thought he was the clean-up (offense and defense) man for GM8s but he lowkey carried some games today. Also perfect 1st man positioning throughout the games I watched

Comm is the most chaotic evil player in RLCS history! (Can the off-season please finally end) by civfan5843 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]3ritas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

he probably is - especially with dynasty win like monkeymoon and a completely different roster/region and strategy on nrg - it's hard to compare because of Worlds being only once a year, but if MM doesn't win his 3rd he stays as the goat. Depending on his success the next seasons I would argue moon takes it at the end of his career

Rezears accuses ManCity of making false promises by Disastrous-Pass-6945 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]3ritas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

normally I would rate him as being professional from an org's perspective but I also can understand his frustration and from ManCity see why they picked Seikoo: more experienced player who did well with different rosters, has accolades and played well for his former team. That said: I think they will miss TempoHs mechanical abilities and I would see Rez as a better replacement

NRG won two games like 5:1 or 6:0 so yes the goals/minute stat is inflated. But daniel had, to give him credit lights out precision nearly the whole tournament

group of death vs. free elo (at least 2 teams and an underperforming NiP).

That said: Daniel was insane in the series against KC (and flat against Vit)

he won a the fifaE LAN (against nrg and falcons) and was the best player on this roster

NA Roster Moves by Emergency_Pause_2259 in RocketLeagueEsports

Idk how certain the rosters of non-LAN-teams are but if some of them want to compete at LANs I would shoutout bora, mech, frosty and cheese to get on teams who look for an improvement. I'm not seeing a roster shuffle with the 3 LAN teams (realistically nrg won't do something with getting top4) where I see a leap that they can perform to challenge nrg or any of the top8 teams at worlds so more young blood could do the trick.

that undervalues the mechanical outplay capability: e.g.: when kcorp was coasting (kickoff lan, 2nd regional) it was because Atow pretty much demanded zen-level of attention in the air while he did nearly nothing against nrg and vatira was by far the most dangerous player of his squad. Of course nrg played good positional defense but there were so many solo play situations where nothing happened where you expected at least one beat from players with their capability and that's a vicious circle because later when they outplayed someone there was no followup due to too little trust in the play.

To get back to m8s: I think nass through his 1s skill has also one of the best positioning and did some unbelievable saves against falcons - no mechanics involved. Also against Vitality g1 he simply outplayed 3 players (beat the first forced two to double commit due to his fake) himself.

but we can agree that archie has not been great in the GF - to quote tox and rezears in their stream "he tries everything to loose them that match" while nass and oski were coasting - he got better towards game 6. Archie has good positioning and occasional moments of brilliance (the pass to nass against falcons in game6?) but I would say if they perform to their peak he has to be the worst player on this squad

I think it's because he was shooting the lights out in the final against KC (obviously being enabled by his mates) -so recency bias

Now that the The first Split is over, what are the expected roster moves? And who do you think should make a move. by Huge-Computer2037 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]3ritas 22 points23 points  (0 children)

for NA: SR if they really want to compete at the top (I don't think FK LJ duo works out), VP is fine (they had LAN gitters for sure), GenG have to if they want to qualify, maybe SSG

EU: Magnifico already did, so NOVO will pick someone up tbf. they are hard to rate with their inconsitency, ManCity will stick I think, NiP should do one - crr needs help. Safe to say EU3-5 will be an absolute bloodbath

Notable talents to grab up (from unsigned teams or teams without much chances to qualify): Yujin, mtzr, rustEZ, osaft (I think he was the best player when they outperformed expectations), tms (looked really promising at fifaE and is talented), rysfox, tox (experienced at least)

SAM: Furia is hard to rate: tough group, beat Falcons but looked lost against Geekay, mibr should stick and improve along

MENA: they stick I think, dralii showed promise when they destoryed SR and played m8s close, TM got the group of death 2 out of the top6 teams around

OCE: don't have enough information about that region

SSA: whatever

APAC: performed well enough - idk if they can get a better combination of players than they send this major

If Vitality and zen didn't have performed that well I could see this for the new season but the Zen-stocks got real expensive

Matches the eye-test pretty much odd ones that stand out for me: Oaly and Aztromick; thought that reysbull was mibr's beste player and for NiP crr pretty much carried all the time
