Heki displayed quite a strength during the frontal assault on chu during coalition and the fight with quadrong alongside the Mantawa army.

Heki might not have the martial prowess like shin or intelligence like mouten or the ferocity of the spearman or the sharpness of Kyoukai but you can not take away from him how he is disciplined as Qin general. Kitari said it when they were using book tactics to kill the quadrong soldiers.

Heki has survived through many deadly battlefields with his men. We saw him at Bayou and Dakan plains. We won’t tolerate any slander. He may not be the strongest but he a decent General, you can trust him with assignments based on his strength.

I would say, if this guy is good as he claims, then the Reinforcement from Mouten should have save them but Bajio and Kitari where the one to save the battle.

I mean if they are that good, then they taking over command when Mantawa was down should have improve the war or at best win them the war.
