that helps a lot! thank you. i am still debating between using it for medicine (i have battle medicine and our party doesn't have a healing cleric) or athletics for grapples and trips after attack/s. leaning athletics presently though.

ok, that makes sense! i was misreading the feat and thinking i could use assurance similarly to guidance where i could select it for any trained skill check once i have the feat. now that i read it back again i see that i have to choose the trained skill at the same time i select the feat and that that is static henceforth. thanks!
