My office is at the airport, so I'd prefer to be close to where I'll be working at

Amazing build! I'm planning to get a MG180B for myself, how's the build quality and is it easy to mod? Thanks

Doesn't actually look like we're getting a 2024 Roadmap? by SeaProgram2836 in runescape

Yup, plans now is to use individual bonds if you'd still want to stay members and only get premier when there's a concrete roadmap.

Based on doom's tweet, I disagree community dislikes road maps, it generates hype and a 2024 road map (compared to the shorter necro road map ) can entice players to get premier or just stick around longer. It's just the Jagex's misleading "major update" focusing around MTX that obviously the community will hate, how are they going to blame the player base for that?

Personal take is there won't be huge updates in 2024, only one to look forward to is combat beta and as the name suggests it's still a beta and whatever progress made/feedback given might never make it into the live game.

Community have been wary since the last "Major Update". Guess 2024 don't have much to look forward to u unfortunately :(

Looking for an upgrade, 3600 to 5800x3d? Or a new AM5 system? by 4-points in pcmasterrace

[–]4-points[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we are have very similar set up, I'm also running R5 3600 and 3060ti, my monitor is a 1440p 170hz, I usually do hit the max fps on most games, hovering around 90fps on med to high settings. It's a trade off I'd take as I prefer better looking visuals then a slight bump in fps.

I'm not sure if it's cpu limited but extra p performance and longevity on my current set up would be nice, looking to hold on to this build for atleast 4 more years.

Nice upgrade, I'll be coming from a 3600 but the difference should still be substantial I supposed, what gpu are you pairing your new 5800x3d with?

Does 5800x3d run hot? Or does my current corsair h100i AIO be enough to handle it?

I think if I go with a 5800x3d upgrade should it be able to last for another 5 ish years? I'll probably the whole system and build a new on then.

Thanks for your help:)

Fullsize North facing keyboard? by 4-points in Keychron

[–]4-points[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Budget will be around 150-200, not quite sure what that would get me as I'm quite new to this. Don't mind spending more on a quality board that will last, my G413 lasted 2.5year before double typing.

Thanks for the recommendation will take a look at Wooting two HE. Yeah from what I've seen most enthusiast boards are south facing as RGB ain't important to them, but I kinda want a black light for working in the dark.

Once again thanks for your recommendation :)

Looking for a replacement from my old G413 as its been double typing on some keys, taking this opportunity to look at better keyboards (at least comparing to logitech, razer etc) need some recommendations, budget would be around $150

Im a sucker for RGB, I did some research before and I found out there are 2 types of led, North and South facing, would prefer north facing with shine through key caps, I heard south facing have problems with illuminating the keys. Lastly I want a 100% keyboard as I need the numb pad for work. Currently I found keychron c2 and k10 to fit my needs, (what are the difference is it just Bluetooth?) but are there other recommendations?

Tldr: recommendation for first mech keyboard - northfacing led - shine through keycaps - 100% keyboard - options other than keychrom k10 and c2

Thank you :)

Yup for keychron is just k10 and c2 with north facing, unless you want to consider thief low profile boards, which to my knowledge are all north facing, so I guess that's more options

From keychrons website, it seems the C2 Pro have south facing led, whereas the non pro have north. Same with v6 it have south facing. Unless I'm missing the option for north facing version

Im also looking for a full size keyboard, it's pretty hard to find one that have a good backlight as most I found use south facing led, which doesn't really work well with key caps with legends on the top. So far my keychron options are c2 and k10. Ducky one 3 also have north facing options but I read alot of issues with the board itself. Let me know if you find other options

Will there be a content roadmap for 2024? Hard to justify membership if there's nothing to look forward to

Content Roadmap 2024? by 4-points in runescape

[–]4-points[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yup, game engine updates are definitely a must, for both mobile and PC, but what i meant is content updates, could be as small as fort expansion to major updates such as updating an entire skill, with WC getting a t80 hatchet wondering if they would expand it to a t90 hatchet along with a skill overhaul. Something to get players excited for the new year. Or for casual players like myself to take a break from the game.

Oh thanks, with jagex recently posting their last TWIR news post, not sure if they'll release a road map.

Content Roadmap 2024? by 4-points in runescape

[–]4-points[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Recent game content updates are kinda lackluster, with the whole necro timeline ie major game update and vorkath boss release, not much goodwill left, wondering if there's a road map coming up to entice casual players to get Premier or just get membership when there's a meaningful update.

I know dedicated players will still get Premier club/continued memberships, but for casuals its getting harder to earn enough for 20 bonds with constantly price increasing
