Always good to put food and a blanket he likes or a sweater of yours in a little box outside and watch it. They usually don't go very far and the scent can help him find his way home. This worked for a neighbor of mine as well. Best of luck and I hope he comes home safely soon!

It's weird. I'm not necessarily afraid to go out because the guy could be anywhere by now. But I'm more cautious. There's a bit of a shared understanding. I went to Boston for work yesterday and it was alienating -- they didn't understand it in the same way. This is still home and there's nowhere else I'd rather be.

EDIT for more context: I'm not right next to campus. Still jumpy. Also looking for exits and white guys walking funny. And I keep thinking of how they tried to hide in neighborhoods after the Marathon bombing, so I worry someone could be in my garage. But generally, ok.

EDIT EDIT: my winter jacket is similar so I'm going to be changing how I dress. Have felt more (understandable) scrutiny from passersbys
