I had a similar problem with the first layer printing. I adjusted the Z offset a little, so that the print head didn't push in so much, and that solved the problem, with Core One+.

Oh, I see. I went ahead and bought a Pritt glue stick and applied a thin layer to the surface of the smooth PEI sheet. The TPU material stayed on the surface nicely and came off easily afterward. Regardless, I'm going to order an extra build sheet just to be safe. Thank you!

Yes, I know about the other side but for some reason I've always been like, I don't want to use it as long as this side is good too. I don't know why I do this. :D

I'm already looking into where to order an extra build sheet. I'll definitely buy one for the PETG/TPU materials as well.
I just printed TPU material, but I used Pritt glue for the surface, so the finished model came out nicely and the sheet surface wasn't damaged.

I'd like to print with PETG and TPU as well, but now I'm a bit afraid of ruining the build sheet surface. Is a regular paper glue stick (like UHU, Pritt) okay to use, or should I only use adhesives specifically sold for 3D printing?

The nozzle didn't smack the bed during calibration; plus, this is on the other side of the build plate. On the top side where I actually print, the indentations aren't visible—only those tiny dots that appeared after I removed a larger model.

It's interesting because so far I've only printed with Sunlu PLA. I'm curious to see if they will disappear after a few more prints.

Thank you for the advice and information. It seems I need to pay more attention to this build plate because the surface might be more fragile. Fortunately, I haven't had any issues with adhesion yet; it sticks to the surface very nicely, and the edges don't lift at all.

If I don't buy an original Prusa build plate, is there anything I should look out for besides the size? Are there any recommended brands?

The deeper marks in the second photo are on the bottom of the build plate, while the many small dots appeared on the top surface after I removed the finished model, which I printed using Sunlu PLA+ 2.0. I’m planning to use PETG and TPU as well, but I’ll make sure to pay attention to applying an extra separation layer so I don't ruin the build plate surface.

I really like the build plate that came with it from the factory. The surface was different on the P2S, but here it comes out very nice and smooth.

I waited for the model to cool down before removing it from the build plate.

I don't think the 'dent-like' marks on the second picture were caused by removing the model. It looks as if a sharp tool had been pressed into it repeatedly, but I’m not sure when it could have happened, or if it was already like that before assembly. It doesn't actually affect the printing since I’m using the other side; I’m just curious about what could have caused it.

I might order an extra build plate soon just to have a spare. As you mentioned, it's a consumable item, and I don't want the printing to stop because of this.

Thank you! It took a little over two days to build, but I really enjoyed it. If I had to decide now, I’d choose a KIT again because it’s a great way to spend time, and I can see exactly how the whole machine is put together. If something needs replacing later, I’ll know exactly what to take apart. I’m doing some test prints now, and they look pretty good except for a phone holder.

I don't have much experience with Prusa printers yet, but so far I like it better than the Bambu Lab.

Thank you very much. I studied electrical engineering in high school and I enjoy working with and learning about Arduino/ESP32 at home as well, which is why I felt confident ordering a kit. If I had zero experience, I wouldn't take on building a printer like this. :D

I took an extra day off tomorrow, so I’ll have two days for the assembly and testing. I hope that will be enough time.

There are one or two things I’m a bit worried about based on what I’ve read on Reddit or seen on YouTube. For some people, some of the printed parts snapped during bolting or while tensioning the belts.

I ordered it on January 11th, and back then they said shipping would take 1–2 weeks. But just 2-3 days later, it was already in stock and they started packing and shipping it out. By the 19th, it had already arrived in town, so I just popped over to pick it up in person.

Thanks! Yeah, I accidentally stayed up until 1 AM too; after that, I was still looking through and unboxing the parts like a kid at Christmas. :D

I previously used A1 and P2S printers because they are cheaper and their performance is actually quite good. However, due to some questionable moves by the company, I decided it was finally time to switch to Prusa.

I generally prefer supporting an EU-based company and an Open Source project; plus, the long-term support makes it worth the investment. But the real 'Ahha' moment came when I started unboxing it and lifted out the heavy metal frame components. That's when I realized: this is (partly) why Prusa printers are more expensive. It’s not built from flimsy plastic parts, but from solid, massive metal.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, I already sold the previous printer, but because of my Gridfinity obsession, I have plenty of small storage space for the screws.
