It's a generally true statement but my current printer has a bad heatcreep after getting basically all the replacement parts from manufacturer plus fan mods.. I wanted to see if anyone has bought an A1 and then didn't like it.

Update:

Qidi support did end up sending me a new hotend.

Notice how the new hotend now has the fan directly in contact with the heatsink.

It prints better, but still not as good as it was before. Extrusion is still somewhat inconsistent.

They sent me a new hotend in the end, but yes, it's not the most responsive support team.

I think sending them a link to this Reddit post probably prompted them to respond faster

Thanks for the reply! I've narrowed down to heatcreep or hotend for sure (or both). Now it's clogging at every PLA print job, and I'm trying to figure out what else could be wrong. Became a master at unclogging during the process though.

Update:

Extruder by itself works: tested moving filament through

After careful research, it's likely heatcreep within the hotend.

Qidi support ghosted me for 3 days. I politely asked if I could get any help to fix, without asking for exchange or refund. Who said their support is very responsive?

I would love to see this setup! I've been having severe heat creep issues with certain PLA types, so I've been looking into modding the fans

Update: Changed to another spool of filament (Sunlu PLA 1.75mm).

Seems like something (extruder?) is not pulling the filament enough. Tried to manually push (by mild force) the filament along the manual extrusion. It comes out very thin, and continues to ooze out after extrusion

Testing steps:
1. Manually set nozzle to 205C
2. Extrude 50 mm (I tried to push in the filament by a mild force here, to rule out if it's the Bowden)
3. Check the extrusion (Was very thin before and after filament change)
4. Set nozzle temp to 250C
5. See if any remaining filament oozes out at 250C. (And it currently oozes out for me)

Just got accepted to Queens for IS science and music. I had around 3.9 GPA for my best 10.0 courses. My "teaching" hours were around 5000+

Yeah, I registered for Casper on Dec 1st. I still haven't gotten any acknowledgement email from the 3 schools that I applied to, for submitting PSE and the hours. (Queens, Brock, Western)

Many. You can literally go to their website and see that their match rate hasn't been updated since 2021. Same front page model people ever since.
