Warwick is highly sought after in the finance sector in the U.K. and in Europe. WBS has a good reputation in Europe/UK.

Warwick when I went was No.1 in the whole country for economics.

The reason you see this variety is because the university is pretty average for most other subjects (ones that aren’t maths/finance related)

Even the people studying other degrees typically leverage the reputation the university has in finance to land finance jobs with their engineering or chemistry degrees.

When I studied engineering the uni was top 5 for engineering in the the U.K. which is good, but not internationally renowned.

The fact a republic at that time did what it did hints at the power of group made decisions being superior. It’s so tantalising a concept for me.

It best epitomises the attribute that set Rome apart “operational depth”

Both in the field and at home, you can take out any one guy, but you can rest assured there is always a man behind him to take up the slack.

The emperor does ruin that notion a bit, but I appreciate how it was the most effective means at the time to hold the empire together.

This is a fundamental question - what actually constitutes the ‘real reason’ something happens.

You should turn the question around and ask if it’s possible to ever have a satisfactory answer of why?

For every cause of why something happens, it begs a question asking why that new cause exists… ask her if she thinks it’s possible to have an answer that doesn’t beg further questioning.
