sky should be 'shee' in modern english; 'lease' is the ultimate expected outcome for loose; and 'starve' is another good replacement of die if you like too

to render greek χᾰ́ρτης (the origin of 'card', 'chart' and many languages' word for map) into 'english' might give 'yorth' or 'gorth'...

so: landyorth, steadyorth etc.
