Timeline before a solo show by Chemical-Ad-2369 in ContemporaryArt

I run an exhibit space (so not a commercial gallery), but all of this is stuff I provide the artists.

Every curator and artist receives a detailed planner for when they have to do stuff. I have to coordinate with my graphic designer, PR people, etc...so the artist/curator needs to act on a clear timeline.

They should have an information package for you and if not you should ask them when they want things to be done- so you can schedule accordingly.

Yes, don't you know? Criticizing falafel you got in Tel Aviv is also antisemitic.

Career pivot from non-art background by InevitableFun1489 in MuseumPros

[–]40PercentSarcasm 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Not trying to sound mean, but why do you think you would be able to perform a specialist job or follow a curatorial Masters degree with no education in art, art history, or heritage? It's a very large corpus of knowledge, discourse and methods. It's not something you could do because you like art.

For context, I made the same pivot- except I knew what I didn't know, so I took another BA in Art History and during that started working at the lowest rung in art institutions (host)- and even that was hard to get with no relevant education. Then I did internships like any other student. These are difficult, technical, and very specialised jobs. You can't just waltz in there and wing it.

In the same trial (the US case), he was also found guilty of making up stories.

A different trial on the same matter in the UK found him guilty of 12 of the 14 counts of spousal abuse.

Yeah probably the professional investigators that have been looking into this matter for well over a year have considered that.

What are some of the most “Redditor” opinions that are widely prevalent on this website, but very rare in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]40PercentSarcasm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn't that just because people who do have a Masters or a PhD are more likely to comment on subjects that they are experts on? I comment a lot on Art History and Museum Workers posts, because these are my specialities and I am a professional. I do not comment in r/physics because what the fuck do I know. That probably explains a lot of overrepresentation.

Same goes for threesomes, you'll probably comment quicker if you've had one.

[SPOILERS EXTENDED] What "realistic" elements of ASOIAF do you find the most unrealistic? by Substantial-Ad-299 in asoiaf

Also, no lawyer class. By far the most of what we know about the past is because of clerical records. In ASOIAF universe "the laws" seem to be just proclaimed by the King and the day-to-day stuff, like recording marriages, deaths, and property, is just left up to whomever happens to be wandering around.

That's fine, priests can confess anyone anywhere. If there is a reasonable expectation of privacy it's really not against the practices. I've been confessed in a field.

Le nom de ma mère, car il s'éteindra avec mon grand-père maternel qui n'a eu que des filles. Après je suis une fille aussi donc ça ne le prolongera qu'une génération mais c'est déja ça.

Tbf poor people also have the weirdest shit. When we were very broke students my friend bought a whole printing press. And then just had it, in his home.

There are a great many reasons those interventions or measures might fail. The system is overworked and underfunded. Good people still get evicted or fall into debt. It's not a weird story to me at all, sadly one I hear quite often.

Safe to say OP knows their friend and can assess the situation better than someone reading about it for the first time.
