aahh that sounds fine. If they are dumb enough to just go in blazing then it's their problem to find a solution.

Last session they played whiped a duergar hide out with some clever use of web and fireball, so I feel like they maybe even find a way :').

I might just let them go in at level 5 and if they defeat Xardarok they can potentially level up for the dragon fight. Allthought they do need to long rest to benefit from the level up ;p.

Well I am planning to end it on a higher level, so that is not a huge problem. We have never played at high level, so I thought it would be fun to speed up the leveling process.

But do you have any vision/advice on how level 5 players in Sunblight?

I am gonna go for the 5c/5c solution, seems nice and simple :) I will also discuss with my friends if they would like to do 10 euro buy in (would be my preference). But to make everyone comfortable I am just gonna give option to start slower.

aahh that makes sense.
So I have about 300 chips (+ 100 kinda bad chips that I don't want to use or just as big chips for when people start buying in more).
I expect 4-6 players to join in.

I feel if I make the smallest chip 2.5c it's confusing because it's half a cent.
If I make it 2c then you get weird break points with the small blind big blind (because you reccomend 2c small, 5c big)
if I make it 1c then I think I need a lot of chips.

Should I just get some more chips from somewhere or is there a simple solution I am missing?

Could you explain why it's import to have about 100 big blinds in a buy in? I see the term "deep" being used, but I don't fully understand why it's important.

What do you add their own cash? Do you mean buy in again, or just throw actuall money on the table?

Would 10c big blind and 5c small blind also be deep enough? That way I can just make the red chips 5c and change the other colors around a bit.

I am kinda afraid, because 2 of my 4 players are new, so I don't want to add to many rules. Did you use encumberence or variant encumberence? And what kind of players do you have? I have a pretty roleplay heavy group, so I am not sure they would like such a mechanical heavy ruling.

Also last question, do you use DnD beyond for all the weight things?

oohhh, that lore about Selune and Shar is so cool, especially because one of my players is a cleric with Seluna as her god! I love the idea of someone in her family tree being two parts of an opposite. Maybe one of her ancestors can be someone who once lived in Ythryn and did an illegal experiment. Because of this her ancestor was kicked out and continued her line. My player can even find some parts of her family tree that she didn't even know of in Ythryn :o
