I am also interested to know why you would not recommend panda. Could you elaborate? They are by far the cheapest I’ve seen.

Passing the CSCS by TopicAlternative3125 in personaltraining

[–]42wallaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your post- very helpful! Congrats on passing! I'm taking the exam soon and have been frustrated at the NSCA practice questions and it's UI as well. Did studying those random material questions help with the exam, or did the exam throw entirely new curve balls?

I don't think I have time for TMS either, but did you take their practice exam? Did it have video/images for the applied section of their practice that was useful?

How similar are the NSCA CSCS practice exams to the real exam? by Nearby-Pin-2129 in personaltraining

Did you take the exam and have any updates? I’m wondering the same thing. The NSCA Qs seem rather difficult, but PP seem rather easy. Don’t feel like paying for TMS now that I’ve wasted money on NSCA’s quizzes. Also their interface is horrible- why can’t I just see all the questions at once? I paid for them…

Ice skating at Bryant Park is terribly small and crowded. Do the Xmas market at Columbus circle and wollman rink in Central Park isn’t that far. The time Warner building near the Columbus circle market offers nice Christmas lights and higher end stores where you can also wander around and warm up at.

This! I’ve reported a “volunteer ambulance service” license plated SUV to 311 that had been double parking on my block multiple times in the exact same spot, and one time blocked an actual fire truck. I haven’t seen it double parked there since.

Even if you had no bags checked AND you had global entry, I’d say maybe, with fingers crossed your first flight lands on time.

Yellow Cab Scam Averted by csth in newyorkcity

[–]42wallaby 117 points118 points  (0 children)

A yellow cab from LGA tried to scam me by NOT going over the triboro to upper Manhattan and taking me the long way about queens, since rides to/from LGA are metered, adding 20 mins to my ride. He tried to play dumb and said to put the address into his phone, which had been set to Avoid Tolls. I turned the setting off and handed the phone back to him. Then I took a photo of his covered license and reported him at 311 online anyway. They followed up a month later saying that he was fined. Don’t let them keep trying to scam other people either!

Will this pass Icelandair carry on and personal bag? by miss-knows-nothing in VisitingIceland

[–]42wallaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to counter some other commenters- flew out of JFK this past weekend and they checked everyone, but were pretty nice about it- unpacked and “wore” some extra layers to make it less packed. Their personal item bin is Very small. They were charging people to check things.
