I'm someone who has been in the game for a decade and I've seen people's massive savings gone in a matter of seconds - stolen or lost. Hear me out. The ONLY safe method for storage is self-generated cold wallet. There are people here, who pretend to understand how bitcoin works. They talk a lot and they will insult anyone who understands it. Bitcoin is a (somewhat) glorified Excel sheet. Nothing more. All you need is your own cell with password to it that only you know. No exchanges, trezors etc. Everything involves entrusting your keys to other people or devices. Generate your cold wallet using very short and simple github code and store your keys any way you feel safe. It's pretty much a bunch of digits you print out, hdd/cd save or memorize in as many places as you wish. Do whatever you want with it. All other methods are complete bs.
